General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, July 27 – Sasha Surrenders to Drugs – Nelle’s Stunning Entrance - Maxie’s Meltdown

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, July 27, tease that there’ll be some bad decisions and unpleasant surprises in the ABC soap’s next encore. GH will replay the episode that first aired on May 14, 2020 in order to give fans a refresher leading up to all new episodes the week of August 3.

General Hospital fans may want to check out all the action again, so here’s what goes down in this encore.

First, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) isn’t paying attention as Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) tries to chat with her. Finn starts talking about aliens and finally catches Anna off guard, so she’s sorry for being so distracted. Anna confesses that she’s thinking about her “frenemy,” Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).

Finn shifts gears by suggesting they set a wedding date, so they agree to marry in August. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) spots Finn and Anna in a lovey-dovey moment, so makes a smart remark and rants about Anna’s suspicions regarding Holly’s death.

Robert isn’t pleased that he had to get updates from Mac Scorpio (John J. York) instead of Anna herself.

Anna points out that she doesn’t have any proof and will get back to Robert if something changes. Robert guesses that Anna thinks Holly may actually be alive. Anna’s concerned about Robert taking the idea and running with it.

Finn agrees it’s best if Robert doesn’t get his hopes up, but it’s clearly too late for that. After Robert dashes off, Anna assumes Robert won’t let this go unless a body’s found.

Next, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) wakes up and faces some harsh words from Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) over the phone. Sasha’s late for her first Deception photoshoot, so she promises to show up in five minutes.

Afterward, Sasha has an elevator encounter with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who notices her former fake daughter’s looking rough. Nina hopes Sasha can find peace and happiness.

Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) pipes up about Sasha looking terrible when she arrives, so Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) wants her daughter to apologize. Sasha thinks she does indeed look terrible, so Charlotte’s just speaking the truth.

After Sasha’s whisked off to get her makeup done, Maxie gets a visit from Nina. Although Nina’s presence ends up making Maxie more anxious at first, Nina thinks her former right-hand woman should toughen up and be a star.

Sasha comes out looking better thanks to Maxie’s makeup person, but she starts crying again. Maxie’s meltdown continues since the makeup person already left, but Sasha insists she can fix it herself. She’s offered a vial of drugs by a production assistant in the makeup area.

At the PCPD, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) lets Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) know she’s thankful for his sacrifice, though she doesn’t directly confirm that she knows about the fake affair.

Still, Chase knows where Carly stands and pays Sasha a visit before her photoshoot. Sasha doesn’t think she’s coping as well as Chase, but he assures her he’s hurting, too.

However, Chase encourages Sasha, who eventually takes the vial of drugs off screen and gets her act together. Back with Carly, she faces off with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) before court gets underway.

Carly mentions Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so Martin admits he’s heard about him. Sonny can make people vanish, but Carly counters that Sonny’s simply a businessman with connections.

Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) is glad Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) are married, but they have to focus on the task at hand.

It’s crucial to be ready for this battle with Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). As for Carly, Diane hopes she won’t give Martin any ammunition since he’ll want to use Carly’s hatred for Nelle against her.

At the Metro Court, Laura Webber (Genie Francis) talks to Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) losing Wyndemere and the Cassadine fortune. Laura’s sure Valentin will still manage to make money somehow.

Valentin continues to plot his ELQ takeover, but he encounters Laura later. Laura wants Valentin to concentrate on being a better man and putting family first. In the courtroom again, Michael and Willow are excited when Nelle’s running late. Diane admits that if Nelle is a no-show, the judge may go ahead and award Michael custody.

When the judge decides they’ve waited on Martin’s client long enough, Nelle swings open the door and barges in wearing a wedding dress. She’s got a bouquet, some new bling and a big announcement to make. Nelle’s sorry she’s late, but she insists the most incredible thing just happened.
