General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) may be in grave danger. GH fans know Monica happily agreed to go on babysitter duty at the Quartermaine mansion. Wiley Quartermaine-Corithos (Erik and Theo Olson) is already fast asleep, so Monica’s job isn’t too hard!
Monica found Wiley’s favorite stuffed kangaroo downstairs, which instantly worried her. Wiley always has to have Mr. Hopsicle by his side, so Monica took the kid his plushie – just in case he wakes up in the night.
Of course, the real point was probably to remind fans of the tracker inside that kangaroo’s pouch and the app that’s monitoring it on Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) phone. GH reestablished that the tracker is now with Wiley – and Nelle’s monitoring that signal.
General Hospital clearly wants viewers to believe Nelle’s going to kidnap Wiley. That’s exactly why it’s highly doubtful it’ll happen. There’d be no element of surprise whatsoever. If everyone expects Nelle to snatch Wiley, what’s the point in letting her do it?
GH seems to be opting for bigger surprises now that they’re back in production – like Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) sudden motorcycle crash. With that in mind, a more surprising kidnapping culprit may emerge.
For example, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) might send someone to scoop up Wiley as leverage to use against Grandpa Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Whatever the case, Monica could be in trouble no matter what! Even if Nelle shows up to abduct Wiley, she’s proven that she can be violent when she has to be.
Nelle knocked Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) out during her previous kidnapping attempt, so she wouldn’t hesitate to go after Monica. Since Monica’s older, she could be at risk of serious injury if she faces an attack next.
Of course, that’s especially true if Cyrus’ henchman attacks Monica instead. There’d surely be more force coming from some burly guy than small and slender Nelle. Regardless, Monica’s the only one guarding Wiley and that leaves her vulnerable.
Will Monica be unconscious and hurt when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) returns home with Willow? Michael will make a shocking discovery before the week’s over, but a horrible discovery’s coming up for Willow next week.
That’s two discoveries, so one might be missing Wiley and the other might be injured Monica. If Michael and Willow find Monica in bad shape, they’ll certainly tend to her and call for help.
