General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will help someone in need, but that decision could lead to trouble – perhaps in more ways than one! GH fans know a new mystery has emerged. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) is dead following a drug overdose, but that makes no sense to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Alexis was hoping to get some answers and perhaps a sense of closure from the autopsy report, but she’s only walking away with more questions. There’s no way Alexis can just let this go – not when the man she cared about was snatched from her so suddenly.
Alexis has been floundering without her law career anyway, but now she doesn’t have a love life either. Neil was supposed to be Alexis’ future, but he’s now part of her past. Fortunately, Alexis has an opportunity to dig for the truth. Of course, finding it could be easier said than done!
That brings us to Neil, who’ll offer his assistance to Alexis on September 17. Since Alexis should be desperate for all the help she can get, she should accept that offer. Naturally, we have to consider what teaming up might lead to.
It seems Ned will want to help Alexis tackle the mystery of how a non-drug user ended up dying from an overdose. Alexis may ultimately suspect murder – specifically a murder that might be traced back to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Ned’s marriage to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is on the rocks – and Olivia’s spending an awful lot of time with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) lately. Many General Hospital fans are worried about the possibility of an affair between Robert and Olivia, but now maybe we should worry about Ned and Alexis, too. After all, Ned is Alexis’ former flame!
Alexis also happens to be distraught and vulnerable right now. Ned isn’t doing the greatest either due to his issues with Olivia and his fractured relationship with Brooke Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane). Could Alexis and Neil’s teamwork be a recipe for disaster? Could it spark temptation and possibly lead to an affair?
It could be a matter of who will cheat first, Ned or Olivia! It might even be both since Olivia and Ned will be growing closer to people they aren’t married to. As other GH news and updates come in, we’ll keep you posted.
