General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the next two weeks tease that some bombshells are on the way. During the week of December 21-25, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will vanish after falling into the water following the footbridge collapse.
Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) dead body will be discovered, but Jason will be horrified when he dives in and still can’t find any trace of Sonny.
Over with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), they’ll mull over an envelope that’ll change their lives. Are Maxie and Peter going to welcome a son or a daughter?
Maxie and Peter had planned to be surprised at the time of this child’s birth, but they just won’t be able to wait any longer. With that in mind, Peter and Maxie will want to tear open that envelope and see the answer.
As for Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), he’ll be tempted to tell Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) the truth about why he didn’t come to his wedding all those years ago.
It looks like Finn will ultimately decide against it, but his secret hookup with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) will continue to weigh on him.
Next, Jackie will be back in Port Charles and will bond with a face from her past soon. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) will reconnect with Kim in the week ahead, so he may want the scoop on what really went down between Jackie and Finn.
While Robert quizzes Jackie, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will cook up a new plot – perhaps one that’ll manipulate Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) memories and might give Liesl proof against Peter.
As for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), he’ll do his best to console Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), who should be tackling grief over Julian’s death.
Later, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will rip into Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) while Carly gets unnerving updates on Sonny. Jason will fill Carly in on what happened on the footbridge and leave her fearful about Sonny potentially being dead.
Carly will hope for the best, prepare for the best and keep quiet about her concerns during the Christmas party.
Speaking of Christmas parties, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) will still be dealing with some tension at their own small gathering with Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
We should note that an encore presentation is coming up on Christmas Eve. Look for GH to show a repeat episode on Thursday, December 24. Christmas Day falls on Friday, December 25, and that’ll bring a sports preemption for the ABC network.
Fortunately, General Hospital spoilers say new episodes will resume during the week of December 28-January 1. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will have no choice but to take a stand, so that could mean digging her heels in against Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
There may come a point where Britt even has to quit her job at GH, but she’ll do her best to keep it and plot against her boss.
Back with Maxie and Peter, they’ll settle on an adorable name for their impending bundle of joy. Over with Liesl, she’ll face growing disdain for someone. That could mean Obrecht’s desire to take Peter down will lead her to some dark places!
In the meantime, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will have a heartfelt conversation with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). They might discuss how Terry did everything she could for Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) and still lost him as a patient.
Cameron may worry Franco will also face a grim fate, but Terry may think if anyone can beat the odds – it’s Franco.
That’s especially true since Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will be backing Franco up every step of the way. Over with Carly again, she’ll know more than she lets on in an upcoming conversation.
That could mean Carly will still be deceiving everyone about Sonny – or it could mean Carly will chat with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
General Hospital spoilers say the story surrounding Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) link to Nina is set to pick back up soon. Carly will have a lot on her plate, so we’ll see how she responds when an unexpected visitor arrives at her door.
As for Brando, his loyalty will be put to the test – and that could leave him in grave danger if he makes the wrong choice. Jackie will find an old pal to console while Finn battles remorse over the past, so there’ll be some developments when it comes to their buried secret.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will bump into Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) at an event to raise money for a good cause. There should be some awkward moments, but GH fans should see some warm ones, too.
New Year’s Eve is also coming up in Port Charles, so we’ll see who rings in the new year together and who spends a sad night alone! We’ll pass along details as other GH news comes in.
