General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 21, reveals that the ABC soap delivered an exciting episode to mark the last of their new content. This was the final original that the cast and crew were able to film, and it certainly brought some juicy drama! Here were the highlights from Thursday’s show.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) grew light-headed during her Deception meeting and seemed to be on the verge of fainting before she steadied herself. Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) concerns grew when Maxie couldn’t eat much of her food at the Metro Court later.
Maxie assured Peter that she didn’t need a doctor, but a quick look at her phone calendar changed her mind. She decided maybe she should see a doctor after all – and it’s obvious Maxie knows why.
Maxie is clearly “late” and has realized she may be pregnant. General Hospital spoilers confirm Maxie indeed has a bun in the oven – she is pregnant, so that’ll bring even more shockers down the road.
Over with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson), she got a pep talk from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) before she was offered more drugs by that production assistant.
Sasha argued that her previous drug use was a one-time thing, but the production assistant pushed her to take more drugs anyway. She suggested Sasha never knew when she might need another boost!
This is certainly a troubling situation for Sasha and will likely lead to a drug addiction. Sasha seems poised to potentially have an overdose down the road, so this is something to keep an eye on. GH fans know Sasha hasn’t been coping very well lately, so the show’s setting her for disaster.
Over with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she urged Linc to reveal who was making a play for ELQ. It wasn’t long until Valentin appeared, so now Brook Lynn knows he’s plotting to take over ELQ. General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will have to work fast once GH returns with new episodes or else his plan will be blown!
Finally, let’s talk about the custody battle. Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) gave quite a performance, but Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) really tanked her case hard when she went after Julian Jerome (William deVry).
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) cornered Julian soon after and slapped him before letting him know he’s dead to Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes). The same goes for Sam if Nelle gets custody.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) wrestled with whether to stand up for Nelle in court, so she got some advice from Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). In the end, Nina took the stand and somberly told to tell the truth so help her God.
Nelle seemed pleased by Nina’s choice, but the look on Nina’s face suggested the truth might not work out so well for Nelle!
Nina hasn’t caught a glimpse of that half-heart pendant yet, but that’s likely coming once General Hospital’s back in action filming new episodes. It could easily alter the course of her testimony, so we’ll see how it all plays out later on.
