General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) fate lies in Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) hands, so that’s going to put Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) in a terrible position.
Let’s talk about what just went down on the October 1 episode since it pulls Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) into the story, too.
After Julian showed up to speak with Ava privately, she shut the door on Nikolas and left him looking irritated. Julian was just about to spill all the details of Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) letter when Nikolas entered and reminded Ava this was HIS living room.
Ava and Nikolas sparred briefly, but a collect call from Ryan at Pentonville brought the showdown to a halt.
So let’s look at what we have here: Ava, Julian and Nikolas – a trio of characters who just so happened to be together when Ryan’s call came in. There’s a reason GH writers had Nikolas join the conversation. It’s probably because Ava’s going to end up relying on Nikolas for help with this Julian dilemma.
Ava may be hesitant to take the call, but it looks like she’ll accept the charges and brace for whatever Ryan wants this time. We might see Julian snatch the phone away and warn Ryan to stop harassing Ava, but Ryan may suggest that’s no way to talk to the man who could seal Julian’s fate!
One way or another, Ryan should make it clear that he has Nelle’s letter and expects some favors if they want it kept under wraps. Ava might pay Ryan a visit at Pentonville – or he might request that Ava’s new husband come see him.
Ryan would surely like to rant about how Nikolas isn’t good enough for a queen like Ava, but there’s another reason why Nikolas could be part of all this.
GH fans will recall that Nikolas helped Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) escape, so Ryan surely heard about that and knows it’s in Nikolas’ power. Ava’s hubby is Ryan’s ticket to freedom!
Of course, Nikolas might make a deal with Ava to wiggle out of the post-nup in exchange for his help. Nikolas might even show his softer side again and acknowledge that Julian means a lot to Ava – especially since Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) is gone. Ava couldn’t stand to lose another murdered family member.
Regardless, Ryan’s probably not going to be satisfied unless Ava and her posse get him out of prison. Ryan may insist that if he doesn’t get some escape assistance, then he’ll send the letter to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and guarantee Julian’s death.
Will Nikolas, Ava and Julian team up to give Ryan the freedom he desires? Julian carried out Nelle’s kidnapping wishes and then turned a gun on her, so maybe General Hospital could take a similar route with Ryan.
The gang’s goal might be to free Ryan, lure him into a trap and then kill him. Ryan can’t send a letter if he’s dead!
Whatever the case, some Ryan escape drama seems to be brewing – and it may happen just in time for Halloween. We’ll pass along updates as other GH news pops up.
