General Hospital Spoilers Update: Thursday, August 13 – Bad Guys Winning - Family First – Liz Blasts Jealous Franco

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 13, teases that Sam McCall (Lindsay Hartley) will face a tough blow. Sam will most likely receive the news of Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) ELQ takeover. Since Sam played a huge role in sliding Valentin in that CEO seat, she should battle some guilt.

At the same time, Sam can’t feel too bad since she got what she wanted. Being a family with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and the kids is far more important than who’s running the Quartermaines’ company. Jason wasn’t happy about Sam’s shocker, but let’s hope he’ll eventually realize Sam made the right decision.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is a big boy who can take care of himself. He’s bound to be upset over Valentin taking the throne, but he’ll get over it! Michael really needs to focus on Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and his new wife, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), anyway.

Now that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) has been defeated in court, it’s time for the “Millow” fam to bond. As for Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane), their own bond as been shattered.

General Hospital spoilers say Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will work to repair the damage on Thursday, but it may be a bit too soon to try.

Ned’s still livid over Brook Lynn’s betrayal – so livid, in fact, that he tossed her right out of the Quartermaine mansion. Olivia will think Ned should reach out and try to make peace with his daughter, but he won’t be interested – not yet anyway.

Of course, Olivia may argue that it’s wrong for Ned to throw away his relationship with Brook Lynn. GH fans know Olivia would love to have one with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), so that’ll color her view here. Ned will put his foot in his mouth when it comes to Dante, so Olivia will blow her top.

This sensitive issue will cause yet another major fight in the Quartermaine household. There’s certainly been a lot of conflict under that roof lately! Meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will catch up with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).

Lulu will fret over Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) gaining the upper hand at GH, but she’ll hope she can count on Sonny to thwart him.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) should get some bittersweet updates. Once Sasha and Chase realize Michael won the custody war, they should be happy their efforts led to some good.

Knowing Wiley’s safe will help ease the pain a little, but it certainly can’t take all of it away.

Chase is still in love with Willow – and Sasha’s still in love with Michael. That could change eventually, but right now they’ll just have to deal with their broken hearts.

Chase will encourage Sasha to repay a favor, so we’ll see what that’s about. Sasha may drop a hint about getting a helping hand from someone – meaning the production assistant who’s been supplying her with drugs.

Although Sasha wasn’t planning on getting hooked, that seems to be where this storyline’s headed. Sasha will be given another dose of drugs to use as a pick-me-up, but it’s only going to do is drag her down in the end!

Over with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he’ll express his gratitude to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for handling things following his accident. Jason may feel he made the right call with his power of attorney decision, but will Carly feel the same way?

Carly will do some negotiating with Jason on Thursday, so she might think they need to revisit the power of attorney discussion. It seemed weird to exclude Sam, who was left standing around while Carly signed the necessary papers.

It’ll be interesting to see if anything changes now that Carly’s had his test run of carrying out Jason’s wishes.

Elsewhere, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will make excuses for his behavior, but they won’t fly with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Liz won’t want Franco pinning the blame on her or the boys.

Perhaps Franco will act like he distrusts Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) due to the threat to their family, but Liz will feel confident this is about Franco’s insecurities.

While Liz blasts Franco over his jealousy, Nikolas will deliver a plea to Ava Cassadine (Maura West). Ava will make a statement – most likely about how much she cares about Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel).

However, Nikolas will think Ava’s declaration needs to be proven. If Ava wants Nikolas to buy that it’s sincere, it’ll probably require letting him have the Cassadine fortune.

Ava may remain unwilling to let Nikolas win, so what’s next? It looks like Nikolas may have to admit defeat, divorce Ava and accept that he’s losing all his money.

General Hospital spoilers say there are more twists ahead in Ava and Nikolas’ storyline, so keep watching GH! CDL’s where you want to be for fantastic General Hospital spoilers, updates and news posts.
