General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, July 1 – Kidnapper Nina Crisis – Michael Ready to Kill Sonny – Dante Dreads Dad’s Arrest

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, July 1, tease that a gripping classic is on the way – and it focuses on Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) complicated relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). In this GH episode that first aired on November 7, 2014, Michael holds a gun on Sonny and vows to make him pay for killing AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan). Here’s what General Hospital fans can expect.

First, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) defends Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) insists she’ll have to arrest him. Anna points out that Duke lied for Sonny and rattles off all the charges he’s facing. Duke looks resigned as Anna reads him his rights and places him in handcuffs.

Next, Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) on the pier as he gazes at the gun he’s holding. Franco eventually whips his cell phone out to make a call. In a motel room, Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) tells Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) baby how beautiful she is and adds that Mommy loves her.

Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) brings in some baby supplies before Nina brings up Ava’s claim, which involved Madeline paying Ava to seduce Silas Clay (Michael Easton). After Nina’s phone rings, she sees that Franco’s calling and answers.

Nina tells Franco that there’s someone new in her life that she wants him to meet later. They acknowledge that they’ve both been needing a friend lately.

Once Nina disconnects, she turns her attention back to Madeline and pushes for the truth. Madeline confesses that she paid Ava to blow up Nina and Silas’ relationship.

However, Madeline argues that she just wanted Nina to see that Silas wasn’t the man for her. Nina talks about Ava’s new baby as if it’s her own daughter with Silas, which concerns Madeline.

At the Floating Rib, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) confronts Franco about exposing the truth to Michael. Franco thinks he did Michael a favor and insists Michael will be grateful someday.

Over with Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), he gets Sonny updates from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Dante brings Nathan up to speed on the confession video and the warrant for Sonny’s arrest.

Although Nathan’s willing to handle this, Dante insists on doing it himself. He feels like he always knew the day would come when he’d have to arrest his own father. Nathan understands since he’ll probably have to arrest Madeline, too. Dante and Nathan commiserate over their complicated families and wish each other luck.

Afterward, Dante puts it together that Michael might be seeking revenge on Sonny, so he urges Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) to reveal Sonny’s location. At the brownstone, Ava prepares to die for killing Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan).

Sonny’s got a gun on Ava and is determined to make her pay. A shot rings out, but it’s Michael who’s fired a warning shot into the air.

After Michael admits Franco played Sonny’s confession video, Sonny realizes Michael knows the truth. Although Sonny initially tries to play dumb, Michael thinks Sonny can save it. Michael isn’t interested in listening to Ava either and thinks she’s a disgusting person like Sonny, but he lets her go.

Ava heads down to the pier and collapses just as Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) arrives with Silas. Once Silas realizes that Ava has given birth, he asks about the baby. Ava insists that Madeline and Nina kidnapped Kiki’s little sister.

Back with Michael, he confronts Sonny about desecrating AJ’s grave with Ava. Michael doesn’t understand how Sonny could let him accuse Ava, who was innocent.

Sonny disagrees with that innocent label and points out that Ava murdered Connie, which adds to Michael’s fury. The news clears AJ’s name, so Sonny explains how he found AJ with his hands around Ava’s throat.

When pressed Sonny confesses that AJ let Ava go and tried to offer his own explanation, but Sonny shot him before he had the chance. Sonny also admits that AJ wasn’t armed and adds that he later found out Ava was to blame through a recording.

Michael doesn’t think there’s any excuse for Sonny’s actions. He’s livid that Sonny consoled him all while knowing he was responsible for AJ’s murder.

Sonny notes that he raised Michael, but Michael fires back that AJ was his father. He feels like Sonny and Carly always tried to poison him against AJ. Michael feels he’s been deprived of a life with his real dad and intends to make AJ’s killer pay!
