General Hospital (GH) spoilers preview teases that there will some major action on the ABC soap this week, February 3-7, and it will involve a hated guest, a family member back from the brink of death, and a serious threat to the people of Port Charles. It looks like we’re in for a big week, so let’s get right into the action! First off, Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) will be continuing to stir up trouble among the Quartermaine clan.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is shown in the promo griping to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) about Nelle and her antics. She’ll tell Ned that “it looks like that greedy little opportunist has gone too far.”
Of course, she’s likely referring to both Nelle’s successful capture of Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughin) ELQ shares and the fact that Nelle finagled a room at the Q mansion.
As GH viewers know, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) decided to take a “keep your enemies close” approach and invite Nelle to live at the mansion, but it seems that Nelle will soon get an unpleasant surprise when he reveals that she’ll be relegated to the Quartermaine boat house.
Still, it seems that Nelle will remain optimistic about her chances at scoring a piece of the Quartermaine fortune, as she’s shown in the promo telling Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) that she has one shot at the Quartermaine fortune.
Of course, GH viewers know that there’s a big wrinkle here, which is that Martin is really working for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), and not Nelle.
Valentin recently commented on the show that he was happy that Nelle was stirring up trouble and keeping everyone occupied – we’ll see what that means and what he ultimately has planned. It looks like Nelle is being used as a pawn!
Next, the promo deals with a Port Charles miracle. As GH viewers know, Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) has been in a coma since late last year, when the car he was driving experienced brake problems and he ran off the road.
Of course, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) was also in the car and was the intended victim of the brake sabotage, which was perpetrated by Julian Jerome (William deVry) to eliminate Brad.
Well, Lucas will finally wake up this week on General Hospital, but it’s unclear just how cognizant he’s going to be about what happened in the moments leading up to the accident.
Will Lucas remember Brad’s confession that Wiley Cooper-Jones (Theo and Erik Olson) is really Michael and Nelle’s biological child? And on a larger level, will he be in good physical shape? Given his injuries and that he was in a coma for so long, he could have some serious recovery ahead of him.
Lucas is shown in the promo lying in bed with his mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), by his side looking pretty serious. And Brad is shown being told by Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) that he’d better take a deep breath before he enters Lucas’ room for the first time after Lucas has awakened.
When Brad walks in the room, he’s shown suddenly turning downcast as he looks at Lucas, so something’s clearly going on here.
Brad could be reacting to Lucas’ general condition, which might be bad, or he could be reacting to Lucas being upset and remembering Brad’s big confession. We’ll see what happens here, but it’s bound to be a dramatic scene.
Finally, the new GH promo addresses the turf war that’s recently exploded on the Port Charles scene. As GH viewers will remember, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was nearly gunned down in Brooklyn, while two other coordinated attacks on his family took place in Port Charles.
In the promo, Sonny is shown talking with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), who’s clearly not happy with Carly and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) being put in danger.
Sonny responds by saying, “I’ll handle anyone who comes after me by any means necessary.” That’s not going to make Jax happy, and it likely means more violence in Port Charles going forward.
GH spoilers say that the instigator of the attacks on the Corinthos family will be Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who will emerge this week on the show. Sonny’s certainly going to retaliate in some way, all while defending his Port Charles turf.
The promo ends with a closeup of a gun being shot, so it looks like there will be either more violence directed toward Sonny and his family, or Sonny will retaliate with force…or both!
It looks like we’re in for an exciting week, so stay tuned! We’ll give you updates as GH news comes in. Stick with the ABC soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest General Hospital spoilers, updates, and news.
