General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has a target on his back. Cyrus is the new Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) in a way – the guy who’ll just keep gaining enemies until he faces a grim fate. It’s tough to imagine Cyrus sticking around forever, but he’s also not just going to casually leave town!
Cyrus is the kind of character who’s meant to die. This story isn’t about whether Cyrus will succeed or fail since all know Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) never really loses. Instead, this hot plot’s about how much damage Cyrus will do in the meantime – and who will eventually take him out.
Let’s focus on that last part for a moment. Which character is ultimately going to kill Cyrus? There’ll be no shortage of suspects when it finally happens, but we should consider some less obvious contenders. Here are three surprising characters who could rid Port Charles of its latest villain.
1) Trina Robinson
Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) has been pushed to her limit since her father, Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews), died. Although Taggert probably faked his death based on the clues GH has offered, Trina certainly doesn’t know that. All Trina knows is she’s angry and hates Cyrus’ guts.
Since Cyrus is such a menacing character, it’d be fun to watch a feisty, young character like Trina be the one to take Cyrus out. All it’d take is a bullet! Anyone can pull the trigger when the time comes, so it’d be interesting if it was Trina. It might even lead to a great cover-up involving Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and the other teens.
2) Michael Corinthos
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) would be another surprising character who might take Cyrus down under the right circumstances. If Michael’s family with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Wiley Quartemaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) is at risk, you’d better believe Michael will stick up for them!
In the past, Michael’s proven that he can be driven to a violent breaking point. Perhaps Michael could be the one to pump a bullet in Cyrus. That might give Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) some ammunition and make Willow realize just how dark this Corinthos world really is.
3) Dante Falconeri
General Hospital spoilers don’t confirm Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) return just yet, but the writing’s on the wall. We’d bet big money that it’s going to happen sooner or later, so Dante might be an intriguing shooter choice.
Dante could return home following his recovery and land in a situation where he’s forced to kill Cyrus. Would that cause a major setback for Dante? How would Dante handle the trauma of it all? There’s be a lot to explore in that kind of storyline, so it’s worth considering Dante as a stunning culprit.
Of course, General Hospital could stick with a more predictable Cyrus takedown candidate like Sonny or Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but it’s a good idea to consider some options that are outside the box! We’ll provide updates as other GH news comes in.
