General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will anxiously await the custody hearing outcome on new GH episodes. Willow has done everything possible to keep Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) out of Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) clutches. General Hospital fans know Willow was even willing to marry Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), so she’s truly committed to keeping Wiley healthy, happy and safe.
However, some viewers feel like Willow’s written a bit too saintly. Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) said it best when she suggested Michael would need to marry a combination of Snow White and Mary Poppins.
That’s a perfect description of Michael’s new wife, which isn’t really a good thing. Willow is sweet, but maybe she’s a little TOO sweet!
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) made Willow believe he cheated with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), but Willow’s reaction was more about pain than anger.
Willow even admitted she still loves Chase, so GH bypassed an opportunity for Willow to be bitter. She has every right to be since she thinks Chase betrayed her with a woman she considered a friend.
Of course, we can understand that General Hospital wants to present Willow as the kind, ideal mother for Wiley. There are still ways to bring out Willow’s fierce side with that angle.
GH recently replayed the episode where Willow took her Nelle frustration out on a tree. There’s clearly plenty of anger within Willow, so maybe she could have more of an edge on upcoming GH episodes.
If Nelle scores joint or full custody, that’s only going to make Willow hate Nelle more. It seems like Nelle has become a fury trigger for Willow. When it comes to someone like Nelle, sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.
