The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Dr. Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz) will feel like she’s stuck in the ultimate mess. Penny wants Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to move into the “miracle cure” portion of the charade, but Sally’s refusing. She can’t do that until she locks in a future with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), but Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) presents a huge problem.
B&B fans can expect Sally to turn the tables on Flo soon. We also know Penny will make a crazy choice that’s a real game-changer. It sounds like Penny will do something truly wild as part of this storyline, so what might that something be?
One option that immediately comes to mind is knocking Flo out or perhaps drugging her. Whether Penny does that herself or simply helps after Sally does it, it’s a logical way to go. Holding Flo hostage would fit with some other insider clues we’ve been hearing.
However, we should consider another wild and crazy option. Let’s think about what Sally wants to accomplish and what would help her achieve it. Sally’s hoping to build a future with Wyatt, who still loves Flo. With that in mind, Sally needs to a) “get well” again so she can have that future and b) turn Wyatt against Flo.
Sally’s made it clear that she believes Flo’s the real issue. Murdering Flo might be going a bit far – although we wouldn’t put it past Sally to try! Even so, there’s a less drastic possibility here. It’s one that would allow Sally to get better, gain Wyatt’s sympathy and turn him against Flo all at once.
Could Penny set Flo up for a huge fall? What if Penny “discovers” that Sally’s been slowly poisoned to this point and finds a way to pin it on Flo? It obviously wouldn’t be true, but that sounds like a strategy to fix everything for Penny and Sally.
This would finally be over, which would be a huge relief for Dr. Escobar. It would also absolve Penny of blame and make her a hero for figuring out big, bad Flo targeted Sally. Since this is just some unnamed terminal illness anyway, Penny could just argue that the poison mimicked the symptoms of it.
Wyatt would find it hard to believe that Flo would try to eliminate Sally, but the story could be that she had to be SURE Wyatt would choose her. Of course, nobody expected Flo to be a lying fake birth mother who helped steal a baby either! It’s not like Flo’s track record is squeaky clean when it comes to deep, dark secrets.
Sally wouldn’t get away with this forever, but it might give her a temporary victory. The only way to get Flo out of Wyatt’s heart is to prove she’s “evil,” so maybe Penny can help with that.
After all, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Flo will snoop on Dr. Escobar’s computer soon. Flo may play right into their hands by proving she’s way too involved. It might look like Flo’s trying to cover her own tracks.
