The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for Friday, April 24, tease that the CBS soap will begin their special theme week a bit early. During the week of April 27-May 1, B&B’s doing some fun episodes featuring locations shoots in Monaco. They’re calling it “Escape to Monte Carlo,” so fans can expect lots of great Monte Carlo shows all week long.
As an exciting kickoff to this theme, Friday’s 2017 episode will get the ball rolling. The Bold and the Beautiful will throw it back to when Spectra Fashions had a showdown with Forrester Creations. The companies faced off as part of a charity benefit, but there was plenty of drama going on behind the scenes. Here’s a recap of the action so you’ll know what to expect.
First, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) talks to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) about his skyscraper plans. She doesn’t think it’s going to happen with Thomas Forrester (played by Pierson Fode) supporting Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Brooke can’t imagine that Sally and Thomas’ relationship is going to fall apart anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Thomas has a flashback of Bill’s lie about Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) dying. In Los Angeles, Caroline’s upset about the fake terminal diagnosis and rants at Bill in a voicemail. Back in Monte Carlo, there’s tension between Bill and Sally before the fashion showdown begins. Sally just wants a fair fight without dirty tricks and has faith in her designs.
Afterward, Sally shares a close moment with Thomas and feels they’re unstoppable. Over with Bill, he approaches Steffy and admits he doesn’t have much respect for Thomas. Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) also appears in this episode along with Rick Forrester (Jacob Young). They get a doctor played by Gilles Marini to examine Lizzie Forrester, who’s got a fever.
Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) and Zende Forrester (Rome Flynn) also get lovey-dovey during the final fashion show prep. As for Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), he grows suspicious of Bill and whatever he might be cooking up.
Soon enough, the charity benefit showdown starts. Steffy makes an announcement about Spectra and Forrester’s dueling designs, which the crowd’s going to vote on. While the models strut their stuff, Bill fantasizes about the ribbon-cutting ceremony for his skyscraper.
Back with Steffy, she talks to Thomas about the publicity this event will bring. Thomas is glum and doesn’t see what any of it matters. He grumbles about how he should’ve been a better dad to his son. Steffy insists that Thomas should be focused on the fashion faceoff, not Caroline and Douglas Forrester (played by Leighton and Jackson Rapo in 2017).
Sally also picks up on Thomas’ apathy about all this as he hits the catwalk with Zende. A little later, it’s Steffy and Sally’s turn to do some runway strutting. Bill corners Thomas and encourages him to man up. “Dollar Bill” thinks Thomas needs to support his son in New York since Caroline is “dying.”
Once the fashion showdown is over, Bill checks out the results and sees that Spectra scored the most votes. However, Bill insists he’s the winner along with the needy children they’re helping. This charity benefit raised over $1 million, so Bill gives Brooke celebratory kiss. Wyatt and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) also get caught up in the moment as they lock lips.
