The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal some major exit news – it’s the end of the road for Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) – at least according to Maya’s portrayer. On Instagram, Karla Mosley posted a video with some exit news she’d been reluctant to share.
Mosley talked about how there was always hope that Maya might return to B&B, but Maya’s recent removal from the credits seemed to seal that it’s not happening.
“I think we have to finally say that she will not be back – at least for now – on The Bold and the Beautiful,” Mosley said. “And while I am disappointed that she wasn’t honored with a goodbye that matched the importance of her presence on the show, I also know that that’s how it goes. That’s soaps! We’ve all been watching them forever.”
Mosley then shifted gears since she wanted to celebrate Maya instead of focusing on her departure from the show. She talked about how groundbreaking it was to play a trans character and gushed about loving all the different versions of Maya’s personality.
Mosley insisted that she loved going on this ride with Maya and B&B viewers over the years. “What an amazing journey for this woman,” Mosley said. Although Mosley’s bummed about this tough goodbye, she assured fans that she’d be working on plenty of other projects and would offer updates.
Mosley encouraged everyone to drop some Maya love in the comments and share any favorite Maya memories. In another post, Mosley offered some great Maya pics and another heartfelt message.
“Celebrating the incredible journey of #MayaAvant! And bidding a fond farewell to her with gratitude to all of YOU for watching. More to come from me – stay tuned to my IG!” Mosley said. It’s a shame that Maya’s run seems to be over, but Mosley’s in good spirits about it.
The Bold and the Beautiful Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell hinted that we might see Maya this fall in an interview with SOD, but it doesn’t look like that’ll pan out, especially since Karla Mosley’s exit!
It’s not the first time Bell has teased Maya’s comeback and failed to deliver, so that’s really no surprise. Mosley obviously hasn’t been contacted about a return, so she’s probably right that we should give up hope for now!
