The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 11, reveal that Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) gushed over Brooke and Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) pending reunion at the Forrester CEO office.
Brooke and Donna recapped that Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) had to call off Brooke’s trip to New York, and Donna asked what Brooke had in store for Ridge. “It will be an evening we’ll never forget,” Brooke said happily.
At the Forrester mansion, Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards), Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer), and Eric Forrester (John McCook) watched as Ridge tried to process the tale he just heard from Shauna. “I’m married to Brooke,” Ridge insisted. Shauna said that Ridge had filed the divorce papers right before they had gone to the chapel in Vegas. Quinn looked pleased.
Ridge said that he remembered just bits and pieces of the evening, but he didn’t remember filing the divorce papers. Someone knocked on the door, and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) came in with Ridge’s “copy” of something. Ridge asked what was going on, and Carter said that he was bringing the executed divorce papers by.
Carter went on to explain that he got Ridge’s request to file the divorce papers the night of Ridge and Shauna’s Vegas trip. Carter said that he thought there might have been a miscommunication, so he called Ridge, but it went to voicemail, then Ridge texted back saying to file the papers. Quinn and Shauna shared a knowing look. Carter wondered what was going on.
Eric shared that Ridge and Shauna got married that same night, and Carter was stunned but he verified for Ridge that his marriage to Brooke was officially over. Carter wondered if Ridge thought that he was coerced in any way, and Eric thanked Carter and dismissed him. Carter left looking confused, while Quinn smiled to herself.
Shauna said that she was sure this was overwhelming for Ridge, but that it was something that they had both wanted. Shauna promised to be the best, most supportive, and loving wife to Ridge.
Later, Quinn and Shauna had a moment alone, and Quinn was positively gleeful while Shauna was worried and noted that this was all very “complicated” since Ridge’s reaction wasn’t exactly happy. Quinn said that what Shauna did for Ridge was good – and that it changed the trajectory of his life.
“Wait until they find out what we did,” Shauna lamented. “What we did was brilliant,” Quinn gushed. “Brooke is out of Ridge’s life for good!” But Shauna was still worried that someone would figure it all out.
Quinn told Shauna to stop second guessing what they did, and she insisted that nobody could ever know what they did. “Come on,” Quinn said. “You’re Mrs. Ridge Forrester!”
At the beach house, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) spent a romantic evening together. Wyatt and Flo talked sweetly over dinner and had some cute banter about how much they bring to each other’s lives.
Wyatt said that Flo was compassionate and generous, and that she was strong with a good sense of adventure. “All with one kidney!” Wyatt gushed.
After making love, Wyatt and Flo talked about old times in high school, and Flo mentioned having kids someday. Wyatt was thrilled at the sound of that, and they decided that they’d have cute kids together.
At Brooke’s place, Brooke entered her bedroom and happily got ready for a romantic evening with Ridge. Later, Brooke lit candles and flashed back to some of her good memories with Ridge when Ridge started to come in the door.
Brooke sprawled on the bed and said, “Surprise!” when Ridge walked in. Brooke then explained that she didn’t go to New York to see Bridget. Brooke said she was all Ridge’s tonight. Ridge looked miserable.
Soon, Brooke sensed that something was wrong, as she was going on about how they were each other’s destiny, but Ridge wasn’t saying anything. Brooke went on some more about them growing old together, and Brooke asked Ridge what was wrong. “I can tell something’s bothering you, so what is it?” Brooke asked. “You can tell me anything.”
