The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will have to decide whether she’s going to through in the towel or keep fighting. Sally’s situation is obviously quite bleak at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way. After Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) learns the truth about Sally’s deadly illness, he may decide to take action.
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has plenty of money to throw around, so there are surely some experimental treatments that Sally could explore. Wyatt might rely on Bill’s unlimited resources to get Sally into a trial for some risky drug. He can’t just sit back and watch Sally die!
The fact that Bold and the Beautiful writers chose not to name this illness could be significant. Perhaps it’s because there are plans for Sally to ultimately make a full recovery. Without a diagnosis to get in the way, Sally’s luck could easily turn around. The story would actually be far more interesting if Sally recovers than if she passes away.
Let’s think about these potential story paths for a moment. If Sally’s indeed marching toward her inevitable death, Wyatt may drift back toward her. His lov for Sally could be renewed in one way or another, but what good would that do? Wyatt would still wind up right back with Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) at the end of all this.
If Sally lives, however, that presents so many more storyline possibilities. A particularly interesting one would be if Sally kept quiet about her recovery. Let’s say whatever trial she lands in works.
Would Sally tell Wyatt the truth? She might be tempted to keep that a secret – especially if she’s on the verge of winning Wyatt back. Sally might sense that she needs to pull Wyatt closer before she comes clean.
B&B fans will recall how Bill lied to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) about Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) rare autoimmune disease. That led to Thomas dumping Sally and reuniting with Caroline, so Sally has some experience on the other side of this scenario.
Perhaps it’s Sally’s turn to be on the winning end – although she might not win for long!
Will Sally lie about her possible recovery? If so, that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Sally might steal Wyatt back from Flo, but the truth could turn Wyatt against her. He wouldn’t be happy to know he’d been manipulated.
