The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Thursday, October 1, reveal that Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) was talking via phone to Shauna Forrester (Denise Richards) from the Forrester living room when Eric Forrester (John McCook) walked into the room.
Eric didn’t overhear any of the conversation, and Quinn told Eric that Shauna and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) would be getting remarried…tomorrow.
Eric was stunned, but Quinn insisted that it was what Ridge wanted and that he was fully on board with the nuptials. Eric balked a little, but ultimately he agreed that it was ok with him if Ridge was ok with everything.
Quinn gushed about how this was for Shauna and that Shauna was honored to be Eric’s daughter-in-law. Eric took off, and Quinn texted Shauna to say that tomorrow, all of her doubt would be washed away.
In the Forrester design office, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) chatted about Zoe’s prior discussion with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Zoe noted that Brooke’s instincts are usually right, and that Brooke has a bad feeling about Shauna’s motives. Carter lamented about how Ridge texted him to file the divorce papers one evening, which happened to be the same evening that Ridge and Shauna got married in Vegas.
Zoe told Carter that he had nothing to feel guilty about; he had just done his job as Forrester’s head legal counsel. Still, Carter felt that Ridge really cared about Brooke.
Over in the Forrester CEO office, Brooke urged Ridge not to marry Shauna, saying that Quinn and Shauna had conspired against them. Ridge appeared stoic and determined to go through with the wedding as Brooke said that she was afraid that they wouldn’t find their way back from this.
After Brooke took off, Carter walked in, having gotten a message from Ridge to meet. Ridge asked Carter to officiate at his re-marriage to Shauna tomorrow, and Carter agreed, but as a friend he wanted to know whether Ridge was sure.
Carter and Ridge argued back and forth about whether it was really a good idea to go through with the marriage, and finally Ridge had enough, and he switched topics.
Ridge told Carter that he was no longer lead counsel for Forrester, and the he had been promoted to the new Chief Operating Officer of the company, which would give him a seat at the board. Carter was thrilled, and soon Eric walked in and congratulated Carter on his promotion. Carter took off, urging Ridge to think about the wedding, and then Eric and Ridge spoke.
Eric asked bluntly if Shauna was the woman that Ridge wanted to grow old with. Eric said that he had been rooting for Ridge and Brooke for a long time now. Ridge said that he and Brooke had a good run, but that this is where they were now.
Eric and Ridge argued, and Eric told Ridge that he disagreed with Quinn about this wedding.
Eric said that Ridge didn’t have to honor his drunken wedding in Las Vegas if he wants to spend his life with Brooke. “And I know you still do,” Eric said confidently. Eric said that he was afraid that if Ridge went through with this wedding then he’d lose his future with Brooke forever.
Back at the Forrester mansion, Brooke walked in to find Quinn in the living room. Brooke was there to see Eric, and she grumped that Quinn was probably plotting and scheming with her BFF Shauna.
Brooke went on, saying that she heard about the wedding, and that Ridge was being manipulated.
Quinn told Brooke to get over herself and that Ridge was totally on board with the wedding. Quinn thought that Brooke should be present for the wedding, and she told Brooke to take a good look at the portrait on the wall.
Quinn said that it wasn’t Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) or Brooke. “I run this house and Shauna and I will be the two women leading the Forrester family forward,” Quinn gloated.
Quinn went on, saying that Ridge was making a powerful statement having the wedding in the Forrester mansion. “Let go of the idea that you and Ridge are destined to be together,” Quinn said. “It all ends for you tomorrow.”
Back in the Forrester design office, Carter returned to Zoe and messed with Zoe a little, telling her glumly that he was no longer lead counsel. Zoe was outraged at first, but then she caught Carter smiling, and Carter announced that he got promoted to COO.
Zoe gushed that she was now dating the COO of Forrester Creations, and she told Carter she was proud of him. Carter and Zoe smiled happily at each other.
