The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 16, reveal that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) returned to the Forrester design office from their lunch date. Zoe said happily that her life had changed a lot in the past few months, and she and Carter talked a bit about her disastrous near wedding to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Carter said that Zoe and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) had played Thomas at his own game, and that Zoe looked stunning in her wedding gown. Zoe wondered whether in some way she deserved the disastrous wedding and maybe it was karma. Carter gently urged Zoe not to beat herself up over the past and to forgive herself.
After some happy flirting, Carter said that he was completely focused on Zoe. Zoe thanked Carter for seeing the real her, and she truly appreciated Carter’s faith in her. Carter said that they had more in common than Zoe realized, and he said that he definitely had faith in her.
In the Forrester CEO office, Thomas was working when Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) walked in. Thomas noted that Liam seemed stressed, and Liam quipped that it wasn’t him that Thomas should be worried about – it was Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Thomas immediately started needling Liam over not living with Steffy and Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray).
But Liam persisted, asking Thomas how much he knew about Steffy’s doctor. Thomas said that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) had an excellent reputation, but Liam thought it was strange that Finn made house calls.
Thomas wondered why it bothered Liam so much, and Liam said that Finn seemed to know a lot about their personal lives and that his interest seems to go beyond a professional concern.
“You think he has a thing for her?” Thomas said. “It sounds like you’re jealous.” Liam rolled his eyes, and he maintained that Steffy was vulnerable right now. Thomas fired back that Steffy was vulnerable because Liam left her and Kelly.
Thomas said that it was Liam who stepped over the line, and that Steffy was a grown woman who could fire Finn if she was uncomfortable with him. Liam didn’t seem convinced.
At the cliff house, Steffy was holding her bottle of illegal pain pills when Finn showed up at the door. Steffy quickly hid the pills in the couch, and Finn wondered if everything was ok. Steffy said she was fine, and that she was dealing with some pain, but that she was all right. Steffy said that she was lucky to have Finn as a doctor.
Finn then said, “About that…you can no longer be my patient.” Steffy immediately got upset and wondered what was going on. Steffy fussed that she had done everything that Finn had asked, and she pressed for a reason why Finn was abandoning her. Steffy said that she felt safe and secure with Finn.
Finn went on, saying that he’d recommend a colleague for Steffy, since he could never compromise her care or do anything unprofessional. “You really want me to see someone else at your practice?” Steffy asked. “No,” Finn said, “What I really want it to spend more time with you. I can’t have these feelings and be your doctor.”
Finn then said that he wished Steffy the best and that it was wonderful meeting her. Finn went to go, but Steffy told him to wait, then she walked over to him and kissed him passionately. Afterwards, Steffy and Finn held hands and smiled at each other happily.
