The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Alyssa Montalvo’s (Maria DiDomenico) life could be in grave danger. Alyssa may wish she’d listened to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and just left things alone! Unfortunately, Alyssa is becoming overconfident instead.
She’s strutting around like she owns Genoa City and is fully convinced she’s going to expose all Adam’s crimes.
Alyssa just seems too cocky – like Y&R might be setting her up for major trouble. Plus, Alyssa is obviously a character who’s here to serve a very specific purpose. Although Alyssa’s kind of fun with her sassy attitude and big hair, she’s around for this storyline about taking down Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and that’s it.
Since Newmans always win sooner or later, what does that mean for Alyssa? Will Alyssa just disappear to Kansas – never to be heard from again? Where’s the drama in that? The Young and the Restless has an opportunity to add to the mystery and make matters worse through Alyssa, so let’s talk about how.
What if Alyssa turns up dead?! The finger would obviously be pointed at Adam, and he might even wonder if he did it. Adam might fear he blocked out the memory and killed his childhood best friend just like he killed her dad all those years ago.
Of course, the answer probably wouldn’t be that simple. There’d be a deeper mystery to peel back with other suspects, but this ordeal would be brutal for Adam until the truth was revealed. Adam might believe he deserved to be locked up for the rest of his life.
AJ’s death was something that happened when Adam was just a boy. That guy in Vegas would’ve killed Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) if Adam hadn’t intervened. These are things Adam could get off the hook for.
However, if Alyssa becomes a bloody corpse and Adam gets blamed for her murder, that’s a crime he could do serious jail time for. Not to mention the mental anguish that’d result for Adam. Just imagine Adam worrying he might’ve killed Alyssa, too!
Naturally, Adam could be cleared in the end – and that might help him close the door on all this. Adam might accept that he’s not the monster he thinks he is. Do you think Alyssa could find herself at the center of a murder mystery? Will Alyssa turn up dead before her stint concludes?
