The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Courtney Hope (most recently seen as Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful) publicly announced that she was joining the cast of Y&R in the later part of August. Considering the soap’s advanced filming schedule, fans will soon see Hope’s debut on daytime’s number one steamer.
Speculation has remained rampant among viewers regarding what role Hope will be playing. Sally fans, who watch, or also watch B&B want the Spectra family member to arrive in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But there are intriguing alternative options if she’s been cast to play someone else.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Dina Mergeron Connection?
Could Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) have a sister? That would link Sally to Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) and instantly establish her as a player within the Abbott family.
Adams hasn’t been seen on-screen in awhile, but Y&R is teasing the inevitable end to the terrific arc she’s been playing for a number of years. It could be that production protocols may keep Adams off the set indefinitely. If that’s the case, then Hope’s character could initially fill the time gap.
Then again, considering Theo’s backstory, Hope’s new alter ego could be an angry ex significant other, or future flame.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Las Vegas Storyline Opens The Door For Courtney Hope
A seemingly easy prediction would be for Hope’s character to be a widow. She would be the person who Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) made contact with, as part of her Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) monster story.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) teamed with Alyssa, as part of a get-Adam effort. They’re aware of his numerous bad deeds and are tuned into what is said to have happened in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he killed a man in self-defense. Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) suspect was trying to kill him, when Spider intervened and permanently stopped him.
Adam has been paying the dead man’s widow, under the pretense of him being in the Witness Protection Program. Hope’s potential alter ego didn’t know that her husband was killed.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Why Not Sally Spectra?
Hope performed so fabulously well as Sally that it makes perfect sense for her to crossover to Y&R. There is a long history of various characters going back and forth. So this exchange would continue the tradition.
There are numerous scenarios that Sally could be written right into, whether she’s connected to any existing character, or to a past one, or to no one at all.
Of course, daytime creativity can also allow Hope to become someone other than those personas that have been suggested, with reader opinions valued.
