The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Greg Rikaart, who portrays Kevin Fisher, worries he has COVID-19. Due to the pandemic, he tried to get tested for coronavirus. However, multiple doctors refused to test him for the illness. The actor shared his frustration and the “colossal failure” of the government.
Y&R spoilers reveal Rikaart believes he has the symptoms of COVID-19. In doing some research, the actor worried that he contracted the illness. So, he tried to get tested but encountered roadblocks at every turn.
On Instagram, the actor shared his experience and frustration with how the US is handling the pandemic.
On Wednesday, Rikaart’s doctor diagnosed him with seasonal allergies. At the time, he didn’t have a fever, but that would quickly change. By the weekend, he had a fever, cough and chest tightness. He was given antibiotics, but hasn’t gotten better.
Rikaart has tried to get tested for coronavirus, but three doctor’s offices refused to see him. Even his own general practitioner refused because the soap star didn’t meet the CDC threshold. He was also told that coronavirus testing kids are a finite resource right now.
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Rikkart can’t get confirmation that he has coronavirus. However, he is taking measures as if he has the infection. This means he is self-isolating and trying to keep a safe distance from his family.
Rikaart expressed his frustration with how the US government is handling the coronavirus pandemic. He also stated that health care in the US should not be a luxury.
“Such a colossal failure by our federal government that this is where we are. I realize that I’m in a fortunate position to find a house call doctor but basic healthcare should absolutely not be a luxury.”
The Days of Our Lives alum received comments from a lot of his followers. Many sent well wishes and hopes that he would soon recover. Some shared their own struggle with being accurately diagnosed and treated. One explained that a family member was misdiagnosed and ended up sick for an entire month. They only realized what was really wrong after two emergency room visits.
