The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there may be some good news coming up for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Y&R fans know Jack has been without a love interest for quite some time, but he’d certainly like to find the woman of his dreams and start building a life together.
Once Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) “teardrop of love” emerald became part of the story, it seemed like it sealed the deal on Jack finding love again soon. It’s just a matter of who Jack will fall for and when. Could it be Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) who reenters the picture for Jack?
The Young and the Restless viewers will recall that Jack and Celeste hit it off in the past, so there’s the potential for sparks to fly here. Celeste is returning for Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) New Year’s Eve wedding to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), but it looks like she’ll be sticking around well into January.
There’s the potential for Celeste to extend her stay even longer, especially if she scores a job in Genoa City, grows interested in Jack again or both. We know that Celeste and Jack were in touch back when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was married to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
You might remember how Celeste and Jack teamed up to send the happy couple a Christmas gift together.
It’s safe to say Celeste made a lasting impression on Jack – and she no doubt did the same for him. Jack and Celeste have great chemistry, so it’s easy to see why Y&R might want to give them a real shot as a couple.
Even if they only keep Celeste on for sporadic appearances, that’d be perfectly fine. Jack doesn’t need to have a front-and-center love story to fall for someone again.
Still, Jack does need a love story – and one with Celeste would certainly be an excellent idea. Just think about the awkwardness this would cause for Jack and Celeste’s children. Kyle and Lola might not have a problem with Celeste dating Jack, but it’d have to be a little weird for them.
We might see Kyle get uncomfortable over his dad dating his former mother-in-law. Likewise, Lola might wonder if her mom could possibly fall for anyone besides her ex-husband’s father!
There’d be some nice opportunities for conflict, so Y&R has some fantastic reasons to put Jack and Celeste together.
Whatever the case, Eva LaRue’s stint should last longer than just for the “Shey” nuptials, so that opens the door for Celeste and Jack to reconnect. Would you like to see Jack and Celeste find love? We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R updates come in.
