The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be sticking around for plenty of exciting stories. In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Khalil confirmed that she’s moving back to LA and will make a full-time return at Y&R. Right now, everyone’s just waiting on the show to get back up and running following the COVID-19 aka coronavirus crisis.
There’s no word on when the cast and crew will be able to work again, but it’s good to know Lily’s on board for a long-term stint. Since Lily’s there to stay, we should start thinking about her romantic future.
Lily’s working with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so they’re sharing a ton of scenes lately. It seems likely Y&R will play around with a Billy and Lily pairing, but are they the best option?
Billy may not truly have Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) out of his system. Likewise, Amanda still seems drawn to Billy and his free spirit. They formed an inexplicable connection that they never truly explored – at least not romantically.
Are Amanda and Billy truly done with each other? If they aren’t, Billy could end up getting together with Amanda and leave Lily in need of another love interest. Fortunately, there are plenty of fish in the sea!
The Young and the Restless has other hunks that could be paired with Lily – including some that might be a bit unexpected. It’d be nice for the writers to think outside the box and do something besides the same old couples.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reunited with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), but we all know they’re doomed! Who will Nick be paired with once “Phick” inevitably heads for Splitsville again? Lily might be a steamy possibility.
Back in 2016, Nick and Lily were a powercouple in a fun alternate reality episode. At the time, Khalil promoted the pairing through a pic on Twitter and encouraged fans to weigh in. The Y&R actress seemed open to turning this fantasy into Lily’s true relationship.
