The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) are advancing their relationship. This more mature edition of Skyle appears to be heading toward eventual engagement, possibly as soon as this calendar year, with marriage, and at least one child also in the realistic, eventual mix.
The above is an optimistic assessment. But it’s not overly so because of the length of time that Kyle and Summer have known each other. They’ve matured, but so are two other individuals who appear headed to couple’s status.
Y&R is establishing what appears to be a parallel duo in Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Kola was Lola’s deepest relationship experience. Unless unknown information is offered, Theo doesn’t appear to have had a meaningful connection with any lady.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Which Wedding Date Comes First, Skyle or Tola?
Lola and Theo obviously aren’t planning for marriage, yet. But might they be compelled to race Kyle and Summer to the altar? Yes.
The competitive nature of all four characters and the fluid chemistry that’s existed between what were the prior couplings, being Kola and the brief match that was Tummer (Theo and Summer, as that nickname didn’t have a chance to catch on), establishes many juicy storyline possibilities.
This assumes that Johnson and Calle remain part of the cast, as there was prior buzz about one, or both fine actors leaving the cast earlier this year. Hopefully they, King and Mealor remain on the show indefinitely.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer and Kyle Are For Real
The marriage that Summer forced Kyle into, which was linked to King’s character donating half of her liver to Lola at the time, wasn’t real. There’s no doubt that Skyle loved each other for years, even including during that momentary sham union.
This couple is currently projecting healthy love. They’ve both chosen to be together and have achieved a sense of stability in their lives. So, the Skyle sequel is flowing because both halves are serious and share a hopeful view of an extended future.
One sign of Skyle’s maturity involves a true easing of tensions with Lola and Theo. Kyle still feels bad about Kola, but has offered a sincere apology and is making peace with the past. Summer is happy and isn’t threatened by Lola anymore.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Theo and Lola Need a Win
With Theo having engineered his own downfall at Jabot, Kyle and Summer aren’t facing any workplace related interference. Society is a common meeting place where Skyle might bump into Lola, or Theo during his frequent visits. So, Summer and Kyle don’t have to be in Tola’s path, unless they choose to be.
Kyle’s conversation with Theo hinted at the potential of a friend’s comeback. Assuming the former New York pals and current cousins try to reboot their own connection, possibly as suggested by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), then Summer and Lola would interact as well.
This scenario would spark a different type of rivalry, not necessarily dysfunctional, that then leads to dueling wedding day commitments.
