The Young and the Restless Spoilers Review: Wednesday, October 21 – Billy Busts Lying Faith – Ambulance for Nate – Amanda’s Fury

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Wednesday, October 21, reveals that more drama hits at The Grand Phoenix. On the floor, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) thinks he may have lacerated a tendon.

He wraps his bloody hand, which was injured after the fall Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) caused with his punch.

Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) rushes to help Nate while Devon stomps off. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) calls an ambulance as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) appears and wonders what happened. Phyllis insists that Devon happened!

Nate’s worried he might pass out, so he urges Elena to keep talking to him. She’s sorry and begs Nate not to hate her, but she felt she had to tell Devon what they did. As Elena says she couldn’t keep it a secret anymore, Amanda watches and listens nearby.

Later, Amanda quizzes Elena, who admits she’s going to follow the ambulance to the hospital. “You mean follow Nate?” a surprised Amanda asks. “You wanna go?” Elena wonders.

Amanda doesn’t think it’s her place, but she wonders if Elena thinks it’s hers. Elena argues that Nate is alone, so someone should be there with him.

Amanda asks about Devon, but Elena doesn’t know where he is and needs to deal with his injured Nate situation. When Amanda fishes for info about what Elena and Nate did, Elena doesn’t think it’s the time or place to get into this.

Amanda notes that she’s not the only one who’ll want to know what happened here. She confesses it had become evident to her that Nate was feeling a certain way toward Elena. “But I thought you two had a little more respect for Devon than to actually…” Amanda trails off as Elena stands there in silence. “Well, I guess I got my answer,” Amanda declares.

Once Elena’s gone on Wednesday’s Young and the Restless episode, Amanda is distracted as Phyllis worries about how bad the cut was. Phyllis fills Amanda in on how out of character it was for Devon to deck Nate like that.

Phyllis assumes something explosive must’ve happened – and she suspects Amanda knows what it is.

Amanda admits that Devon discovered something devastating, so Phyllis asks if she can be more specific. Amanda recaps how Nate kept pulling away before he broke things off.

That’s when Amanda noticed how Nate was looking at Elena. Amanda insists that Elena and Nate are considerably more than friends – and Devon exploded when he found out.

A shocked Phyllis insists she thought Elena and Devon were headed for the altar. Amanda talks about how much Devon loved Elena and talked about her like she was a living saint – though she guesses he was wrong about that. “Guess he was!” Phyllis adds on Wednesday’s Y&R episode.

Amanda worries none of this would’ve happened if she hadn’t been spending so much time with Devon. Phyllis contends that Amanda isn’t responsible for what Nate and Elena did. If Devon were there, Phyllis thinks he’d say the same thing.

At Crimson Lights, Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) looks at her phone and the door like she’s waiting impatiently. After Faith’s phone dings, she smiles and starts to head off the patio.

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) urges Faith to freeze and is skeptical when Faith says her dad’s going to give her a ride.

Mariah just saw Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at the gala, and he said he was headed straight home. “So why don’t we start over?” Mariah says sternly. Faith insists Nick’s picking her up and offers to let Mariah see her phone if she doesn’t trust her.

Mariah assures Faith that she does and feels like Faith is an angel compared to her as a teenager.

Mariah makes a speech about how they’ve all been dealing with a tsunami and it always feels like they’re waiting on the next wave to hit. She would understand if Faith felt the need to put on a brave face. Faith insists she’s fine and rushes outside, but Mariah still looks concerned.

At Society, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) talks to Devon about his award and babbles on about Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Devon extends his condolences, but he keeps things short.

Devon isn’t really in a talking mode and needs a drink. Abby looks taken aback and can tell something’s up.

Once Devon has the drink he wanted, Abby insists it’s on the house. Devon’s sorry if he was rude before, but Abby promises there are no worries. After Abby gives Devon some alone time, he flashes back to moments when Elena was acting guilty – and when Nate suggested Devon should set Elena free if he wanted to pursue Amanda.

Devon then flashes to Elena’s confession and punching Nate in the aftermath. Abby reappears and offers one last chance at a friendly ear, but Devon declines to talk and heads out. Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) arrives and approaches Abby, who quickly shifts to the inquiry Chance just went through.

Chance was at the station getting grilled for hours about Vegas. There’s no evidence that a crime was committed, so Chance feels like that chapter of his life is closed. It’s not official that he’s back on the force, but Chance is optimistic and eager to start his new chapter with Abby.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) pops in the coffeehouse, but Mariah notes that they’re closed. Before Billy leaves, he mentions Faith hanging out at the park with some random girl who looked a bit older.

When Billy asked if Faith had permission to be out that late, Faith turned on the charm and wondered if he was going to write an exposé about it.

After Mariah calls Nick and updates him, she turns her attention back to Billy. Since Billy asks about Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Mariah admits her mom got some good lab results – though she wonders where all this concern for Sharon and Faith was when Billy published the article.

Mariah argues that Billy didn’t need to use Faith to establish what a monster Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is. Billy didn’t protect the innocent – and that makes him just as bad as Adam in Mariah’s book. Mariah wonders if Billy even has the decency to regret what he did.

It wasn’t Billy’s intention to victimize anyone; he insists all he did was tell the truth. Mariah gets why Billy hates Adam – and she hates Adam, too. However, Mariah contends that Billy isn’t a hero here. She adds that he’s just a scavenger picking at what Adam left in his wake.

Later, Faith is there and admits she doesn’t hate Mariah for calling Nick. Mariah gets that Faith probably had more freedom at boarding school, but Faith is home now – and they worry about her.

Nick wanted to bring Faith back to Crimson Lights to apologize to Mariah, so Faith does. She also feels like Mariah’s been listening to too many true crime podcasts and worries too much.

After Mariah leaves Nick to lock up, Faith assumes Nick has a lot to say, too. Nick insists that’s the first thing Faith’s gotten right and urges her to sit down.

Back at the hotel, Amanda debates whether she should call Devon. She ultimately decides he needs time and space to handle this. Phyllis asks how Amanda’s dealing with all this, but Amanda wasn’t in a serious relationship with Nate.

Amanda goes on and on about what a selfless, generous man Devon is – someone with a huge heart who deserves to much better than this.

As Amanda’s rant continues, she wonders if Elena and Nate really didn’t realize how good they had it. Devon was so supportive about the clinic and everything, but he suffered such a horrible betrayal.

Amanda argues that Elena spat in Devon’s face and was so selfish. She eventually catches herself acting like she’s making a closing argument, but Phyllis is fine with listening to Amanda vent.

Once Amanda decides to head upstairs, Phyllis encourages her to take Devon’s award since she’ll probably see him first. Amanda doesn’t think Devon will even want it anymore since it’ll just remind him of how the night ended, but she takes it with her.

At home, Elena turns on the lights and realizes Devon’s been sitting alone in the dark. Elena mentions that she went with Nate to the hospital, where she learned Nate suffered nerve damage in his hand. After Elena talks about how people make mistakes, she begs Devon not to shut her out.

Devon just wants to know why Elena did it – with his cousin of all people. When Devon asks if Elena was punishing him for spending time with Amanda, Elena says of course not. “Are you sure?” Devon wonders. “Yes! No…” Elena admits. She insists Devon didn’t do anything to deserve it.

Elena was just afraid of losing Devon, but he doesn’t understand since he repeatedly told her she was the only one he wanted. Devon wonders if he ever made Elena happy and if she really loved him. Elena insists she’ll spend every day making it up to Devon.

She cries as she begs Devon to tell her what to do – how to make him forgive her.

Back with Nick, he lectures Faith and wonders what else she’s hiding. Faith admits there’s nothing and promises she loves that Nick cares so much. Nick feels like he’s sitting in front of someone that he barely recognizes, but Faith insists she learned her lesson and wants a second chance.

Nick gives Faith one, but he insists they need to tell Sharon in the morning. Faith makes a strong case for why they shouldn’t since Sharon is still so blissed out over her positive news. Nick warns that Faith had better not do anything like this ever again, so she promises she won’t.

While Nick gets ready to lock up, Faith reads a text from Jordan (Madison Thompson) that asks if she’s cool. Faith texts back “totally” and vows to see Jordan soon.

At The Grand Phoenix, Abby shows up with Chance and pauses to talk to Phyllis. Abby compliments Phyllis on the gala and gets some heartfelt words about Dina. Once Chance is upstairs in his suite with Abby, they make plans for a steamy day of fun tomorrow.

Chance receives a text from Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) about meeting in the morning, so Abby’s sure it’s about welcoming Chance back to the force. They decide to make the most of tonight since they won’t have tomorrow and prepare to make love.

At the clinic, Nate looks somber as he enters and gazes down at his bandaged hand, then at the exam table where he slept with Elena. Back at the penthouse, Elena pushes Devon to tell her where they go from here.

“I think that you should probably stay in the guest room tonight and probably pack in the morning because I don’t want you living here anymore,” Devon says.

Elena cries harder as Devon heads upstairs alone. She holds herself and then sinks to the floor. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena has more struggles ahead, so stay tuned to Y&R.
