The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, April 28 – Devon & Drucilla Winters Face Off – Katherine’s an Out-of-Control Alcoholic

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, April 28, tease that Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper (Jeanne Cooper) will once again be at the center of some classic Y&R drama. In this episode from July 2004, Katherine throws an intervention bash and refuses to listen to her loved ones. She proposes a toast instead and shuts down everybody who tries to talk some sense into her.

Katherine doesn’t want to get sober, but Brock Reynolds (Beau Kazer) feels like his mother’s making the same old mistakes. He describes his heartbreak, and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) gives Katherine an earful, too. Arthur Hendricks (David Hedison) remembers how he fell in love with Katherine, but he now thinks she’s out-of-control alcoholic.

Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) pipes up to suggest the Katherine they knew is gone, but Katherine doesn’t seem concerned. Katherine feels confident she’ll outlive all of them. After Mackenzie “Mac” Browning (Ashley Bashioum) shows up, she tries to get through to her grandmother. Mac threatens to walk away completely if Katherine won’t stop this self-destruction.

According to other Young and the Restless spoilers, Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) makes an appearance in this fantastic flashback episode. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) gets a visit from Drucilla at the rec center, which leads to a faceoff.

Drucilla’s worried about Devon leading Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) down the wrong path. They bicker about the money Devon stole and how Lily lied to the police, which Devon insists he didn’t ask her to do.

Devon rants about how Dru used to live on the streets and has no business judging him. Drucilla doesn’t want Devon around Lily and points out that she could call Devon’s social worker.

When Lily comes to see Devon later, he pushes her away and suggests she should find another charity case. Lily’s visibly rattled, but a worker soon fills her in on Dru’s recent visit.

Over with John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), he contemplates a tough decision thanks to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) offer. Jabot could use $75 million, but John doesn’t know how to tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to go.

Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) know the money would do Jabot good right now, but this is extortion in John’s opinion. Later, Jack’s stunned to learn Victor’s offer is even being considered. As a result, Jack ends up quitting on the spot.

However, Jack and John come together a little later. John would rather have Jabot go broke than force Jack out, but Jack thinks Jabot needs the money. It’d be dumb to turn it down. John wanted Jack to carry on his legacy, so Jack insists that he will someday. He promises his dad he’ll be back.
