The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of July 27-31 tease that fans will see some classic Newman moments. It’s “Newman Family Week,” so the show will deliver five episodes that are all about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his brood! Let’s look at what viewers can expect in these fantastic encores.
On Monday, The Young and the Restless will take us back to an episode that originally aired in 1994. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) gets a boxing lesson from his dad, which gives Victor a chance to highlight just how important the Newman legacy is.
Meanwhile, Victoria Newman’s (Heather Tom) independent streak leaves Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) with concerns.
Tuesday’s Y&R episode first aired in 2004. Nikki and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) are keeping a huge secret under wraps – the secret of Abby Newman’s (Darcy Rose Byrnes) paternity!
The Young and the Restless’ weekly preview video shows little Abby telling Victor that her mommy says he’s her father. Victor looks thrown for a loop over Abby’s admission, so this should be a can’t-miss encore.
On Wednesday, The Young and the Restless will replay one of their most heartbreaking episodes of all time. Get your tissue boxes ready because Y&R’s revisiting Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) devastating death.
“We have cherished every moment with you,” an emotional Nick says as he sits by Cassie’s hospital bed. Cassie is weak as she reminds Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) of her love. This 2005 episode brings a crushing blow for the Newmans, so tune in for some powerful acting.
Thursday’s Y&R episode is a happier one since it involves Victoria and JT Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) wedding day. Victor welcomes JT to the family and gets JT’s gratitude in return. The bride and groom look fabulous as they prepare to tie the knot, so Victoria and JT fans will definitely want to stay tuned fot this 2008 encore.
On Friday, The Young and the Restless will re-air another popular episode – one from 2003 when Victor confronted his estranged father, Albert Miller (George Kennedy). Victor rants about Albert’s abandonment, but Albert doesn’t show remorse. He doesn’t think Victor should expect some warm and fuzzy reconciliation either.
Victor points out that he fought for everything he has and found great success. He was able to rise above his circumstances, but his wealth was meaningless without one thing. “None of it means anything without family,” Victor booms as Albert looks on in the promo. Nick supports Victor, who admits he came to say goodbye and breaks down in tears after the confrontation.
