TLC '90 Day Fiancé Spoilers': 'Before The 90 Days' - Geoffrey Paschel's Bug Love - Urges Fans To Show Kindness Towards Insects

TLC 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days spoilers tease that Geoffrey Paschel has more than one secret up his sleeve. As viewers know, Geoffrey recently dropped a huge bombshell on his love, Varya Malina, when he revealed to her that he had been to prison for a couple of years for selling drugs. The whole thing hit Varya hard, and it could ruin their relationship depending on how it goes when Geoffrey tells Varya’s mom.

Well, in the midst of all that drama that’s currently playing out on the show, Geoffrey posted another surprise for his fans on social media. This surprise wasn’t as much shocking as it was a little creepy…and crawly. Geoffrey revealed that he has a special place in his heart for insects!

Yes, insects. Geoffrey posted a video of himself shirtless with some sort of worm crawling on his shoulder, along with a video of a spider, and several photographs of himself holding other creepy crawly bugs. The pictures and videos definitely aren’t for those who get squeamish around insects, that’s for sure.

Geoffrey posted a lengthy caption for his videos and photos. “I love all animals; this includes bugs. Yes, bugs are animals. My goal in life was to be an entomologist. I have always been fascinated with the creepy-crawlies & even had the honor to work in the spider & ant lab while at the university. In my mind they are akin to superheroes; they possess superpowers!”

Geoffrey also urged his fans to be kind to bugs. Geoffrey stated: “Bugs are my thing; They are the reason I have the tattoo of the centipede on my arm. So, I urge you, if you have that impulse to smash a bug, take a second to think about the complexity of that little being. Remember its usefulness and delicately cart it outside where it really wants to be.”

In typical Geoffrey fashion, he’s been kindly responding to many of the fan replies to his post. One person responded to Geoffrey’s post with: “Though I’m super squeamish when it comes to bugs, I always scoop them and take them outside (hoping that they don’t jump on me during the process!!!) lol.” To that, Geoffrey responded: “Haha – good job!”

Of course, one wonders how Varya would (or does) feel about insects! But given that she at least currently seems to be willing to stick with Geoffrey after hearing about his prison stint, it doesn’t seem like a few bugs would scare her off! I love all animals; this includes bugs. Yes, bugs are animals. My goal in life was to be an entomologist. I have always been fascinated with the creepy-crawlies & even had the honor to work in the spider & ant lab while at the university. In my mind, they are akin to superheroes; they possess many superpowers! To name just a few, a flea can jump 100 times its own body length, a cockroach can hold its breath for over 40 min, the web of a bark spider is 25 times stronger than steel, & there are even wasps that can turn a caterpillar into a mind-controlled zombie! Yes, a freaking zombie! . They are absolutely amazing &, without them, we would not be in existence. They provide us w/food through pollination & aeration, add nutrients back to the soil by breaking down decomposing material, & are even a food source in themselves for many of the things we eat. The only reason we don’t readily consume them here in the states is because we have been brainwashed to perceive it as "gross." This doesn’t stop other cultures from utilizing this astounding protein source. They also personally provide us with honey, wax, dyes, lacquer, vaccines, & silk. The latter is important because it completely altered the course of human history w/the formation of the silk road connecting China to the rest of the world. . Bugs are my thing; They are the reason I have the tattoo of the centipede on my arm. So, I urge you, if you have a that impulse to smash a bug, take a second to think about the complexity of that little being. Remember its usefulness & delicately cart it outside where it really wants to be. There is so much we have yet to learn about insects & what they can provide. Have an open mind. I can guarantee you they will still be around long after we are gone & they deserve that respect. . Enjoy some different bugs I found around my house. Next time you find a bug, will you not let fear guide your hand &, instead, take it outside? They may be small with a short lifespan, but their possibilities are large & endless. We shouldn’t allow their size diminish their effect on the world. They don’t want to hurt us & only seek to live their life. . Big things often have small beginnings…
