Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will do whatever he can to sort through the facts of the Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) case and figure out who really fired the fatal shot. Rafe will soon realize this case is perhaps far messier than he thought before.
It seemed pretty straightforward considering Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) is certainly capable of doing something like this. Days fans know Rafe caught Sami at Charlie’s apartment – and her fingerprints were all over the gun that killed him.
However, Rafe will find a new clue or two that points him in another direction.
During the week of March 15-19, Rafe will make another murder suspect the focus of his investigation. Of course, that doesn’t mean Sami will be off the hook just yet. It just means Rafe will open his mind to the possibility that someone else committed the crime.
DOOL’s going to work through a decent-sized suspect list, so each person on that list will get their time looking like the guilty party.
Who will Rafe start to suspect pulled the trigger? It could be Allie that Rafe zeroes in on next, so let’s consider why. Allie showed up at the police station concerned about Sami being taken into custody and pushed Rafe to just let it go.
When Rafe called Charlie the victim, that didn’t go over well with Allie. She ranted about how SHE was the victim along with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and nearly Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), too.
Rafe may find himself thinking back to that conversation, especially after he starts to suspect Sami’s covering for someone.
It may not be too hard for Rafe to figure out Sami would have the strongest motive to cover for her daughter, who’s been through more than enough due to the assault trauma. Regardless, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Allie will act guilty during some upcoming scenes with Claire.
DOOL will make it seem like Allie’s hiding something – and we might see a flashback of Allie showing up at Charlie’s door with a gun that night.
It seems likely Allie indeed went over to shoot Charlie like she planned, but that doesn’t mean she actually fired the shot.
That part of the story will undoubtedly be revealed later.
Sami isn’t the correct culprit as the first suspect, but the second suspect shouldn’t be the right one either. This storyline will take some time to play out, so Rafe should take a closer look at Allie before eventually moving on and focusing on someone else.
