Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s some exciting news to pass along about Dan Feuerriegel the new EJ DiMera! You’ve probably heard by now that the role of the dashing DiMera has been recast, so EJ will have a different face when fans see him again.
According to Daytime Confidential’s sources on set, Dan Feuerriegel has been cast as the new EJ DiMera and will make his debut this summer.
Feuerriegel takes over the role from James Scott, who departed Days back in 2014. EJ was badly burned in the Nashville warehouse fire and was all bandaged up the last time viewers saw him.
Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) warned Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) that EJ would likely be unrecognizable once the bandages came off, so we’ll see if that’s ultimately mentioned again.
Of course, Days may choose to ignore that since soap fans know how recasts work. Actors come and go, but it’s all good as long as the essence of the character shines through. Feuerriegel is playing EJ now, so we can get used to his version and see what he has to offer.
It should be exciting to finally see EJ back on canvas interacting with the DiMera family and some other faces from his past.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say EJ and Sami are having some marital problems, which Sami will confess to Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) during the week of April 5-9.
Sami’s on the verge of cheating, so that’ll set the stage for some juicy drama once EJ hits town in the months ahead.
As for Feuerriegel, you might know him from his role as Argon in the Spartacus franchise on Starz. Feuerriegel has also been featured on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., NCIS: Los Angeles, Chicago Fire and more.
The Australian actor will presumably put a British spin on his accent as he takes on the role of EJ and settles in Salem.
We’ll give you updates once Dan Feuerriegel’s official first airdate becomes available. Days of Our Lives spoilers say EJ will be looking to make his mark on Salem again and perhaps make Sami pay for her upcoming betrayal with Lucas!
