Marlena is indeed set to be possessed again, but how will that happen? Perhaps through Marlena’s desire to help a seemingly sweet and innocent elderly friend who’s struggling!
Doug’s dementia symptoms have surfaced out of the blue, so this may not be the simple case of Alzheimer’s it seems to be.
When Doug was at the pub having one of his memory lapses, he was quite keen on having a piece of that DEVIL’S food chocolate cake.

How can Marlena help Doug when it’s confirmed that she’ll be at the center of a major possession plot?
DOOL’s goal doesn’t really seem to be helping Doug at all; it seems to be a devilish plan to dupe and gain control of Marlena!
Days spoilers say Doug will get far worse in the week ahead, so the sinister spirit may grow impatient and hope to gain access to Marlena faster.
Regardless, Days is beginning this new version of the possession plot starting Friday, September 17.
Everything after that should push Marlena in a possessed direction – including her upcoming session with Doug and the consequences that might result.
