Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, January 29, reveal that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) stopped by the Horton house to see Belle Black (Martha Madison).
Allie said that she wanted to drop the civil suit against Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) because she remembered that Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) was her attacker. “I know that Tripp wasn’t there when I got raped,” Allie said.
Meanwhile, at Charlie’s apartment, Tripp told Charlie that the DNA results were in and that he was Henry Horton’s (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) father. Tripp revealed that he stole Charlie’s toothbrush, and Charlie mused that the test wouldn’t be admissible in court, plus the rape happened in London.
Tripp fired back that the DA could order a new DNA test, and that the London authorities could press charges.
Charlie didn’t seem bothered by Tripp’s statements until Tripp mentioned Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and how the DNA results would affect her. “Claire will understand – I’ll make her understand,” Charlie stammered.
Tripp fumed that Charlie needed to take responsibility for what he’s done – for Henry’s sake. Charlie then threw Tripp out.
At the Salem PD, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) found Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) in the squad room and gave him an envelope containing the DNA test results. Soon, Belle and Allie arrived, and Allie told Shawn that she remembered her assault. Shawn took Allie’s formal statement.
At Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment, Claire told Ben that it made sense that Ben still felt that Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) was out there somewhere – after all, they never saw Ciara’s body.
Claire and Ben rehashed what Vincent Bellman (Michael Teh) and Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) did to Ben, and Ben said that he searched for Ciara but never found her.
Ben told Claire that there have been instances in which Ciara has visited him, and he said that he thinks about her all the time. Claire listened and understood, and she and Ben seemed to help each other by talking about their memories of Ciara.
Soon, Claire left, and Ben put a fortune cookie down by the wedding picture of himself and Ciara.
Somewhere, Ciara banged on the plexiglass surrounding her room. Rhodes (Jason Downs) strode in wearing a cowboy hat and told Ciara that there was no need for all the racket.
Rhodes thought that Ciara could pass the time by reading Romeo and Juliet, and he passed the book to her through her tray.
Ciara and Rhodes had a long conversation, establishing that Rhodes was the pilot that Vincent hired to pick him and Ciara up at the private airstrip. But when things didn’t go as planned, Ciara got away from Vincent and took off into the woods before the car blew up, leaving her wedding rings behind.
Ciara felt sure that her family would know that she was alive and would keep searching for her. Rhodes knew that Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) was out looking for Ciara chasing false leads, and that Ben seemed to believe that Ciara was dead.
Rhodes said that Vincent’s checks were still coming through, and that as long as they did, he’d keep Ciara captive.
“You’re going to be here for a long time,” Rhodes promised Ciara. Later, Ciara tried to read Romeo and Juliet, but she got frustrated and threw the book across the room.
At that moment, in Ben’s apartment, the wedding photo crashed down and smashed the fortune cookie open. Ben read the fortune, which said, “Nothing is ever lost if you follow your heart.”
At Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) apartment, she and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) returned from an impromptu birthday celebration, where Nicole had won a stuffed teddy bear in the claw machine.
Rafe named the bear “Duke,” and soon he admitted that seeing all the parents and kids today made him nostalgic about David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends).
Rafe revealed that his visits with David were getting more sporadic, and Nicole did her best to comfort him. Rafe said that anytime Nicole wanted help with her daughter or with Henry, he’d be there. Rafe left with the teddy bear, and Nicole got a call from Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
At Steve and Kayla Brady’s (Mary Beth Evans) place, Allie came to visit with Tripp. Allie revealed that she had a hypnosis session, and that she remembered Charlie assaulting her.
Allie apologized to Tripp, but Tripp didn’t know what to say. Allie said that she didn’t expect him to accept her apology, and she left sadly.
Back at the Horton house, Belle and Claire touched base. Belle broke the news that Allie had remembered that it was Charlie who assaulted her. Claire was upset, and Belle said that Shawn was probably arresting Charlie now. And over at Charlie’s apartment, Shawn arrived and placed Charlie under arrest.
