Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) possession storyline will be revisited as Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) makes a new film. It turns out this film will kick off a creepy redo of the original possession story, which came to its climax back in ’95.
There have already been some insider hints about a controversial plot from Days history popping up again this fall.
We’ve also heard rumblings about Johnny being a film student who researches when his grandmother was possessed by the devil – and now there are actual spoilers to corroborate the idea.
During the week of August 23-27, Johnny will pitch an idea to Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). He’ll need some financing for his new film and will hope he can score them as backers for it.
Of course, this lines up with what insiders have been saying about Johnny doing research and making a new film. It looks like that film will be a documentary, but Johnny’s digging will stir up more trouble than he bargains for!
This will apparently lead to another version of the possession, so there’ll no doubt be some recreation of the infamous bed levitating scene.
That’s something that even people who don’t watch Days are often familiar with.
Naturally, this story redo is sure to leave fans divided for many reasons. Some may feel it’s too dark for daytime – or perhaps just too much of a classic that can’t be done well in the present.
Others might like this nod to the show’s history and be curious how DOOL might handle it in 2021.
Regardless, there’s enough evidence to suggest it’s happening when you combine the insider scoops with all this confirmed talk of Johnny’s new film.
