Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, September 27 Recap – Ben’s Future Son Strangles Babysitter – The Real Marlena Fights Back

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, September 27 Recap – Ben’s Future Son Strangles Babysitter – The Real Marlena Fights BackDays of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, September 27, teases that Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) future son strangled the babysitter in a horrible nightmare. The real Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) also fought back against the devil’s control, so here’s how it all played out on Monday’s DOOL episode.

In their hotel room, Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) thought it sounded like Ben was saying he might never want to have a baby with her. Ciara really wanted kids, so she teared up as she suggested that was something Ben should’ve told her before they got married.

Ben said he wasn’t trying to mislead Ciara and that it was something maybe he didn’t even admit himself until now. When Ciara brought up trying to have a baby, it just made everything real. Ben broke down in tears at the thought of the baby turning out like him. He didn’t want to bring evil into the world, but Ciara offered reassurance.

Ciara felt like Ben’s awful upbringing was a bigger factor than his family’s history of mental illness. She urged Ben to let her love fix what was broken and trust that he’d be an amazing father. Ciara ultimately suggested they could put the baby conversation on the backburner and just focus on loving each other for right now.

Later, Ben had a nightmare that he was celebrating his 10-year-anniversary with Ciara on August 20, 2031. Ciara and Ben got a bit frisky when they came home from the restaurant, but their young son appeared and said he punished the babysitter for not letting him play with what he really wanted to play with: Daddy’s necktie. The babysitter had been strangled and was dead at the table nearby.

Ben woke up startled, but he claimed he didn’t really remember what the nightmare was about. Ciara assured Ben that everything was going to be OK and offered a kiss, but Ben still looked nervous.

At the townhouse on Monday’s Days episode, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) thought back to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) snapping at him when he held up his old Bible. He also called Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who was appreciative when John offered to come pray with her in the chapel.

In Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) hospital room, possessed Marlena insisted that he had to die. She grabbed a pillow and planned to smother Doug, but Marlena did her best to fight the devil. “Stop! Don’t do this!” Marlena’s voice said inside. She argued that the devil couldn’t make her hurt Doug, but the devil said he could and would.

Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) eventually interrupted and sent a reluctant Marlena to the chapel, where she watched and listened to John pray with Julie. Afterward, Marlena told John he was her rock and returned the sentiment when he expressed his love.

Back with Doug, he kept trying to tell Eli and Julie that Marlena was possessed. Doug struggled to get the words out and was getting tired, so Julie pushed him to just rest. She told Doug that they’d talk about everything in the morning.

At the DiMera mansion, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) thought Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was playing with fire by planning a possession movie. Chanel was still a little jumpy when Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) appeared, but Johnny reassured her and asked Tony for his help as a consultant on the film.

Tony insisted his name needed to be in quotes when it came to that script. He explained that Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) had plastic surgery to look like him and had taken his place at the time of the possession. Tony felt like Johnny needed to talk to someone who was actually there and lived through the experience when it all went down back in the ‘90s.

Johnny admitted John didn’t want to discuss the matter – and he didn’t think John would approve of him asking Marlena about it either. Chanel eventually distracted Johnny from all the devil talk, so they made out before Johnny mentioned having protection this time.

However, Chanel wanted to slow things down and just keep having fun before they ended up in bed. Johnny thought everything was fun with Chanel and seemed more than willing to be patient. Chanel once again reminded Johnny that a possession movie would mean playing with fire, so he said that was “noted.”

Next on Monday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) joined Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) for dinner at Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) apartment. Tripp mentioned Doug’s condition becoming more serious before Allie mentioned running into Johnny and patching things up.

Allie also admitted Johnny was focused on a new portion of the script – the part where Grandma Marlena was possessed by the devil. Tripp choked on his beverage, but he struggled to buy that Marlena was actually under the devil’s control.

Tripp showed Allie some research on her laptop and argued that there’d never been hard evidence of a possession. He thought there was nothing that couldn’t be explained by trickery or science, but Allie believed John since he was so rattled over what he saw firsthand.
