Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 1, reveals that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) got busted for theft while Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) insulted “that snake” Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus). As for Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker), she made an awkward discovery at Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) place.
At the Horton house, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) agreed to let Xander crash there for a while, but Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) appeared and insisted it would happen over her dead body!
Xander did his best to smooth over his previous bad behavior, but Julie wasn’t having it. She even ranted about Xander stealing her most expensive whiskey bottle from Julie’s Place recently, though Xander acted like it must be some mistake.
Julie argued that Xander was caught on security tape – unless he had an evil twin that they knew nothing about.
Xander said he didn’t even remember stealing it, but he was more than happy to make restitution. Julie said that’d be $200, so Xander convinced Jack to pay Julie since he was good for it.
In the end, Julie decided she didn’t have much choice in the matter since it wasn’t her house. Xander smiled and insisted this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
At Nicole’s place on Tuesday’s Days episode, she denied cheating on Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and argued that it especially wouldn’t happen with Xander. Nicole claimed that Xander helped her the hotel desk before they went their separate ways, but Sami didn’t believe that.
However, Nicole suggested Sami was one to talk since she cheated on her own husband. Sami got flustered and denied it, but Nicole meant Sami cheated with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) back when she was married to Rafe.
Sami thought that was ancient history, but Nicole seemed intrigued by how defensive her rival got over EJ.
Meanwhile, Rafe and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) continued getting hot and heavy in Ava’s bedroom. Once they were basking in the afterglow, Ava pointed out that there were people who might object to their romance.
Rafe argued that they were two consenting adults, but Ava suggested Gabi might object.
Rafe thought he could handle Gabi and eventually made some eggs with the intention of “multi-tasking” in the bedroom again. Suddenly, Nicole showed up at the door looking for Ava and could tell she was interrupting.
Rafe stepped out of the room to get dressed for work, so Nicole acknowledged that Ava had slept with Rafe and pretended to be happy for her.
Talk turned to Nicole getting confronted by Sami over the cheating drama. Ava wondered if the guy Nicole slept with was Xander, so Nicole wondered why Ava would think that.
Ava admitted that Rafe was puzzled over why Nicole was meeting with Xander in his hotel suite about a job – though Ava assumed that’s not why Nicole was there.
Nicole pushed Ava not to say anything to Rafe about Xander right as Rafe reappeared. After Nicole left in a hurry, Ava noted that things had been a little awkward because of how Nicole found them.
Rafe seemed a tad uncomfortable, so Ava wondered if he minded that she confirmed they slept together.
Rafe tried to play it off as no big deal. “Why would I mind?” Rafe asked on Tuesday’s Days episode.
At the hospital, Gabi was furious when she realized Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) was letting his guilty conscience dictate his decisions. She assumed Jake was going back to Gabi, but he insisted he just had to wait until the right time to tell her that he’d moved on.
Lucas stomped over to insist that Jake had to keep up the act. He felt like if Jake had a decent bone in his body, he’d wait before he told Kate that he wanted to be with that “snake.” Gabi was understandably offended, so Lucas tried to backtrack.
Once Jake headed off to see Kate, Lucas got on Gabi’s bad side once again. Gabi reminded Lucas that he was living under her roof at the moment. She didn’t think she could allow that considering Lucas was an enemy of her relationship with Jake.
Gabi made it crystal clear that she wanted Lucas to pack up his stuff and “get the hell” out of her house.
In Kate’s hospital room, she ultimately admitted to Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) that she was faking both her selective amnesia and blindness. Kate warned that Dr. Snyder wasn’t going to tell since she was on the hospital board.
Since Dr. Snyder had gone before the board facing plenty of accusations before, she felt confident she could get the doc fired if he dared to breathe a word about her secret.
Dr. Snyder played along when Jake came in looking for updates. He assured Jake that what Kate needed most right now was the love and support of the people who mean most to her.
Once Dr. Snyder left, Jake gave Kate a pep talk about being one of the strongest people he knew. Kate cried that she wasn’t feeling very strong and told Jake how much she needed him.
As Jake hugged Kate, she smirked and looked satisfied with herself. Gabi wound up walking in on the close moment and seemed concerned about the closeness between them.
Back with Sami, she grilled EJ over the phone about his decision to cancel the transfer of the millions. Sami thought it was risky and wondered if there was some other reason besides the fact that it was a lot of money.
Sami worried there was something EJ wasn’t telling her, but she got off the phone quickly when Lucas showed up.
Sami shared her concerns with Lucas, but he didn’t think it was EJ’s MO to play a game of cat and mouse. He assured Sami that there was nothing to worry about.
Lucas also admitted that he’d been kicked out of the DiMera mansion and needed to stay at the townhouse. He didn’t think it was a big deal, but Sami argued that it wasn’t happening.
After they argued on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, Sami brought Lucas up to speed on her earlier confrontation with Nicole. She found to find a way to prove Nicole cheated on Eric. We’ll fill you in as other Days news becomes available.
