Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, March 10 Recap – Paulina Steals Julie’s Thunder – Theo’s Breakup Confession

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 10, reveals that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) looked miserable and was in tears when Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) found her just outside the pub.

Gabi insisted she’d been dumped – though she ultimately clarified that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) had humiliated and insulted her.

Roman and Gabi found common ground despite her harsh attitude toward his ex, Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow). After Roman acknowledged that he thought Kate could do better than Jake, Gabi argued that she could do better than Jake, too.

Inside the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) approached Valerie Grant (Vanessa A. Williams) with the idea of her being Carver Grant’s godmother.

Valerie was thrilled and admitted Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was already expecting to be Jules Grant’s godmother. Eli laughed as Valerie did an impression of Julie pretending to be surprised.

In the town square, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) did her best to sell Abe Carver (James Reynolds) on her vision for Salem. Paulina felt like she should bring some of her Miami pizazz to the Midwest and really thought she could liven up the town.

After Paulina suggested she wanted to hit a restaurant with flavorful food and atmosphere, Abe decided to take her to Julie’s Place.

At home, Lani was both surprised and thrilled when Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) returned to Salem sooner than anticipated. Although Theo admitted he was nervous about holding Jules, he was a natural. Theo was honored over the news that he’d be Jules’ godfather and learned Julie would be her godmother.

When talk turned to Theo’s girlfriend in South Africa, he confessed they’d gone through a recent breakup – though he didn’t want to talk about it.

Meanwhile, Julie was stunned as Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) delivered the news that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) thought Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) was alive. Claire admitted she thought so as well and recapped all the evidence.

On Thursday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Julie wanted to call Doug Williams (Bill Hayes), but Claire convinced her to hold off since Ciara’s still in grave danger.

When Julie brought up getting the police in on this, Claire insisted that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) was already helping Ben with the case.

Once Claire dashed off to Ben’s place, Abe and Paulina entered Julie’s Place. That brought some awkwardness as Abe tried to introduce Julie. Abe noted that Jules was Julie’s namesake, so Paulina was puzzled about why Lani and Eli would name one of their twins after some old white lady.

After Paulina learned Julie was Jules’ grandmother, she was apologetic for putting her foot in her mouth. Next, Eli brought Valerie in and introduced her to Paulina as well.

After Paulina complimented Valerie’s hairdo, Julie started to touch it. Paulina argued Julie shouldn’t touch a black woman’s hair and used it as a “teaching moment.”

Once Lani and Theo joined this DOOL party, it was time to make some announcements about the twins’ godparents. Unfortunately, Paulina got up to accept the honor of being Jules’ godmother before she was asked.

It left Julie looking livid while Paulina made a little acceptance speech and took off before Lani could clear things up. Paulina certainly stole Julie’s thunder!

While Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) waited for Ben at his place, Ben and Shawn worked to find Evan at the police station.

Shawn admitted it could take a few hours to nail down something close to Evan’s location, but Ben was impatient. He called Evan to track the signal before Shawn snatched the phone away.

However, that allowed Shawn to have the signal tracked and find out Evan was at Ben’s apartment. Evan hung up his own phone and started to head out the door, but Claire was standing on the other side. She quizzed Evan about why he was there and suddenly recognized him.

Once Claire realized she was in peril, she tried to play it off like Evan was some guy from the gym. Evan didn’t buy it and got confirmation that Claire was related to “that bitch” Ciara.

After admitting he was going to kill Ben, armed Evan acknowledged that he’d have to figure out what to do with Claire first.
