General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, August 27 Update – Peter’s Death Trap - Scott Discovers Austin & Maxie's Spark

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, August 27, teases that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will make a Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) discovery while Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) visits Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will also have a death trap waiting for him, so GH fans should be prepared for major drama!

Scott will be excited over Austin getting his hands on evidence that Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle) wanted Jimmy Lee Holt in his will. It’s not as good as an actual will change, but Scott will still have a good feeling about this.

Scott will also spot an interaction between Scott and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) that leaves him intrigued. He’ll discover that Austin seems curious about Maxie, so he’ll probably grill the doc to see if this is about a romantic connection or something more.

Austin indeed seems a bit suspicious of Maxie, which is the last thing she wants since she’s trying to hide Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) with Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) help.

Maxie will do her best to hide her nerves as she makes small talk with Austin about Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) wedding, but she’ll remain worried.

Over with Ava Jerome (Maura West), she’ll deliver a devastating blow to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

Ava recently decided she needed to leave Port Charles and get away from the stalker, so that may be the decision she shares with Nikolas. It’ll be a crushing one, but Nikolas will look at the bright side.

Although Nikolas feels guilty for accusing Spencer, he’s also relieved since Spencer now seems innocent. Unfortunately, that’s because Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) set Ava’s car on fire and planted that hospital badge to spook her.

Now Spencer’s torn since he knows the plan is out of control, but he’s also livid with Nikolas for going to such great lengths to spook him at the party.

Nikolas will stop by Spring Ridge, where he’ll unload some of his frustration to Alexis and get some guidance in return. Alexis would love to be on the outside spending time with her children, so she may advise against holding grudges.

Nikolas has lost way too much time with Nikolas already, so Alexis might push him to find forgiveness in his heart and let the past go.

In Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will share the tight spot she’s landed in.

Although Nina may not offer all the details, she’ll rile Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) up when she mentions how Peter threatened James West (Curtis and Owen Rufca).

There’s obviously danger involved for Maxie and Louise as well, so Liesl will think Nina should say no more!

Obrecht has been waiting for an opportunity to kill Peter anyway, so she’ll be delighted to set a fatal trap and hope Peter falls right into it in St. Lucia.

Sadly, Liesl herself will become the victim of a villainous scheme – and so will Scott once they head off on this trip.

As for Nina, she’ll be glad Liesl’s willing to take the lead. Nina won’t be able to anticipate the plot going wrong, but she’ll at least be off the hook when it comes to murdering Peter herself.

Meanwhile, “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will urge Peter to hit the road since he’s obviously not wanted in Nixon Falls.

Sonny won’t approve of Peter bothering Nina, but Peter may merely be amused as how weak “Mike” is compared to tough guy Sonny.

In Port Charles again, Jason will take a bold stand for his family’s sake. He’ll refuse to let the people he cares about face threats, so Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) may be the one who encounters Jason’s wrath.

Joey has already been stirring the pot and will continue to do so despite Jason’s repeated attempts to shut him down.

Over with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), he’ll forbid Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) from attending Carly and Jason’s nuptials.

Carly will think Jax has really gone too far this time, but Jax won’t agree since the five families will be in attendance, too.

Jax won’t want Joss anywhere near the mob chaos that might erupt.

However, Carly will be sick of Jax barking orders, especially when Josslyn isn’t obligated to follow them. Joss is old enough to decide for herself if she wants to be at this wedding – and you can bet that she does.

Carly may think Jax needs to accept that and get over it, but he’ll lash out over the constant danger their daughter’s in now.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Carly’s ceremony will be full of surprises, so don’t miss what’s in store.
