General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, October 15 Recap – Carly’s No Cheating Defense – Britt’s Huntington’s Puzzle

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, October 15, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) offered a “no cheating” defense to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) pondered a puzzle related to her Huntington’s disease. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) also turned down Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) deal, so let’s discuss all Friday’s drama.

First, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) bickered with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) as she was taken to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) cell. Liesl gave Drew medical attention for his gunshot wound as he tried to remember what happened.

After Drew realized he was missing a day’s worth of memories, he recalled how he felt this way back when he was conditioned. With Liesl’s help, Drew figured out that there was another layer of conditioning and that he was now being controlled by Peter.

Next, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) cornered Peter and complained about his partner in crime lying. He accused Peter of being able to activate Drew all along and wasn’t pleased about the special op that Peter ordered on his own.

Victor complained about Peter drawing the WSB’s attention and mentioned that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had shown up along with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Peter vowed to take care of it, but Victor pushed him to stay out of it instead.

Victor wondered if Peter really thought his betrayal would go unanswered for – and then Victor’s armed guards moved in on him. Meanwhile, Sam and Dante were puzzled over the tavern that’d been the ambush location.

They got updates on the shootout from Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) soon after.

There was talk about the fake plane crash and how Drew sacrificed his chance to escape so Chloe Jennings (Phoebe Kuhlman) could flee.

Later, Robert pried information from a musician on the premises about where Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was being held. He revealed that Victor was working with Peter at a secret compound.

Back in Port Charles, Sonny got Carly to confirm she would’ve slept with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) if he hadn’t come home when he did.

Sonny suggested it was harder hearing it from his own wife and didn’t know how he was supposed to be OK with this.

Sonny was upset since Jason was his best friend, but Carly reminded him that they thought he was dead. She insisted it wasn’t cheating, which Sonny knew despite how difficult this was.

Carly ranted about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being responsible and wasn’t sure just leaving them alone was enough punishment.

That said, Carly wanted to focus on her marriage to Sonny and getting back to where they were before. She made it clear that she would always choose Sonny, so he took her extended hand and said he chooses her, too.

In Britt’s office at GH, she admitted she needed Jason’s help with the Liesl investigation. They walked through what they knew about the case so far and discussed the fake medical conference on inherited diseases.

Britt was perplexed since the only people who knew about her Huntington’s disease marker were her, Jason, Liesl and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).

Jason acted like maybe Scott was untrustworthy, but Britt defended him since he was infatuated with Liesl and wouldn’t risk blabbing her daughter’s deepest secret.

Talk turned to Peter’s potential involvement, so Britt thought a trip to St. Lucia might be in order. Jason argued that could be a dead end and felt there were other steps to take here first.

Jason didn’t want to waste valuable time for Liesl’s sake, so Britt realized that Jason was indeed all in on helping.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) was frustrated over not being able to get in touch with Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

Nikolas needed her advice on Spencer and wasn’t all that keen on Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) help since he was too much of a shrink.

Kevin heard about Spencer’s stalker confession and Nikolas’ uncertainty over how he’d handled it.

Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) eventually showed up and pushed Nikolas to protect Spencer rather than punish him. She ranted about Ava having Spencer arrested, but Nikolas thought Esme should be lucky she wasn’t getting booked, too!

At the PCPD, Ava pushed Spencer to shut up for once since she was his only hope. She argued that she could convince Nikolas to help Spencer, but he suggested he could rely on his grandmother the mayor.

Ava pushed Spencer to see that Laura wasn’t there and nobody else was coming to his rescue either. She said Spencer could take his chances in court or let Ava offer him a way out.

Ava thought she was all Spencer had and wanted to learn to coexist. She needed assurance that Spencer wouldn’t go after her marriage, but Spencer refused to make the mistake of trusting Ava again.

Afterward, Esme was upset with Spencer for letting his pride get in the way.

Esme thought it’d be smarter to accept Ava’s assistance and just let her think she’d won the battle. Spencer stood his ground and was led back to a holding cell moments later.

As for Ava, she headed home to tell Nikolas that Spencer hadn’t learned his lesson yet. Nikolas hoped a night in jail might help, but he also feared the Cassadine family’s patterns were doomed to repeat themselves.

General Hospital spoilers say Spencer’s arraignment is coming up, so don’t miss how it all plays out.
