General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will stick to the plan and have Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) officially declared dead. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) let Carly know it’d be the best thing to do – and he admitted it’d be a good idea to have a funeral, too.
The Corinthos clan has to send a clear message that Jason is in charge now. Jason doesn’t want anyone thinking that they’re waiting around for Sonny to return.
Since Carly knows declaring Sonny dead and going through with a memorial service will keep her family safe, she’s willing to do it. Carly can be certain that Sonny would approve if it meant offering added protection.
Of course, that means Sonny should get a “burial” and gravestone next to Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig). There’s obviously not a body to bury since Sonny is alive and battling amnesia elsewhere, but Carly may gather up some of Sonny’s belongings for burial anyway – just a little box of his stuff in memory of Sonny.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will be laid to rest, so that means burial plans will move forward. The cemetery set will soon pop up again, so look for Carly and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to reflect on Morgan memories at his grave.
Joss and Carly will think about how much they miss Morgan during the week of February 8-12 – and they’ll undoubtedly let their thoughts drift to Sonny, too.
As Carly prepares to have Sonny buried along with Morgan, it should hit Carly how much loss her family has faced. It’ll be brutal for Carly to think about Sonny and Morgan being gone forever.
Fortunately, we know Sonny’s coming back – and it certainly looks like Morgan’s set to make a big return, too.
Bryan Craig appears to have some exciting projects in the works out in Los Angeles. Since Craig previously shared his desire to return to soaps on social media, he might be reprising his role as Morgan down the road. It makes sense considering all the Morgan mentions, and the timing couldn’t be better.
Sonny’s set to be “buried” with Morgan, but neither one of them will actually be six feet under. Instead, General Hospital seems to be laying the groundwork for this double Corinthos return from the dead! As other news becomes available, we’ll bring you updates.
