General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, August 17 Recap – Ava Faints as Kiki Reaches Beyond Grave – Spencer ‘Stabbed’

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 17, reveals that Ava Jerome (Maura West) fainted as Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) reached beyond the grave – and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was “stabbed” before Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) shocking discovery.

In the Corinthos family kitchen, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) ranted about Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) trying to incriminate her. She called Jax a “son of a bitch” and put him on full blast for trying to entrap her in her own home.

Carly wondered how far Jax would’ve taken this and acted like Jax might’ve made Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) relive the nightmare of her mother getting locked up.

Jax argued that he was going to play it back and let Carly decide what to do. He asked what Carly would’ve picked if given the choice between her so-called business and Josslyn.

Elsewhere, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) talked to Brick (Stephen A. Smith) about the five families meeting tonight and how he would confirm he’s getting married along with Carly.

Jason admitted he needed to get a better idea of where the Novaks and the other families stood, but he felt confident he could show he’s in charge and prove there’s no power struggle.

When Jason came home, Carly filled him in on Jax trying to blackmail her. She let Jax know he crossed a line and continued to grumble about his betrayal after he left.

Jason got Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to hack and wipe Jax’s phone just to make sure there was nothing incriminating left behind.

Carly seemed somber over the fact that her circle of trust just got smaller, so Jason was sorry about that.

By the Metro Court pool, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) was in disbelief over the voice on the phone.

Sam insisted Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was dead, but Drew said he didn’t have much time since they were coming for him.

Sam asked where Drew was and who was coming before the line went dead.

When Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) rejoined Sam, he got updates on her call from a man claiming to be Drew. Dante had IT trace the call, but they didn’t have any luck getting to the root of it.

Sam and Dante went over possibilities like Peter August (Wes Ramsey) perhaps using a program to mimic Drew’s voice, but Sam didn’t know why he’d want her to think Drew’s alive.

Dante and Sam also discussed the idea that maybe this was meant to be a distraction from the Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) case.

Sam admitted there might’ve been people who wanted to gaslight her in the past, but not so much now – plus, the voice seemed so real!

Dante was taken aback as he realized Sam actually believed it could’ve been Drew.

However, Sam acknowledged that Drew’s body was never found and had to keep herself open to that possibility, that he didn’t die in a plane crash.

In a foreign prison, a guard threw Drew back in his cell and brought up the fact that he’d stolen a phone. Drew was scruffy and banged up as the guard insisted this was the last place he’d ever see.

At GH, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) headed to their OB-GYN appointment.

They confirmed they want to wait until the birth to find out the gender and were over the moon over seeing the baby on the monitor.

Afterward, Brando was one proud papa as he looked at the ultrasound photo they received. Sasha and Brando were clearly on cloud nine as they inched closer to meeting their impending bundle of joy.

Meanwhile, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was grateful for the words of wisdom Ava gave Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).

That suspicious nurse (Avery Kristen Pohl) kept spying as Ava opened up to Portia about everyone being human and making mistakes.

The conversation turned to Kiki and her rocky relationship with Ava at the time of her death. Ava liked the idea of preventing that for other people.

At Wyndemere, Josslyn and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) talked to Tony the bodyguard about it seeming like the inside of the house was being targeted – in particular Spencer.

When Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) arrived, they found out about the strange happenings tonight – including the missing launches, the call from Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and the glow-in-the-dark message on the fireplace.

Up on the turret, Spencer let Trina know this whole night was about making sure she had fun. He promised nothing would ruin it for her, but Trina wound up getting rattled again after they heard a noise.

Once alone, Spencer checked the wifi signal booster to see if it rebooted and was grabbed from behind.

The masked stalker threatened Spencer with a knife, so Spencer frantically talked about all the money his father had.

Spencer also promised jewelry or whatever else the masked man wanted, but the stalker seemingly plunged a knife into Spencer’s stomach.

However, Spencer was soon surprised to see there was no wound and no blood on the knife. He realized it was some sort of trick as he explained to Trina, but he was still freaked out and wondered “what the hell” was going on.

Next, Trina and Spencer joined Josslyn, Cameron, Laura and Kevin downstairs.

After Spencer filled them in on the traumatic ordeal he just had and accused Ryan, Nikolas came out wearing the costume and revealed he was behind all this.

Laura had never been more ashamed of Nikolas and ranted about him going to such lengths to terrorize his son. Nikolas argued that he wanted Spencer to feel as helpless and terrified as Ava did when Spencer terrorized her.

Spencer would only confess to throwing the party behind Nikolas’ back, not any of the stalker drama.

As for Ava, she found her care engulfed in flames. The fire department put it out and confirmed that there was a gas can underneath.

Ava realized someone set the fire deliberately and wanted her to know. A hospital badge was also found at the scene, so Ava took one look at it and fainted.

Once Ava was alert and drinking some water, she assured Portia she didn’t need to be checked out.

Ava ultimately called Nikolas to reveal that there had been another incident and confirmed he was looking right at Spencer on Spoon Island. Nikolas looked stunned as he decided Spencer couldn’t have done it.

Ava also showed Portia the badge that made her faint. It was Kiki’s hospital badge, which had been buried with her daughter!

Moments later, the suspicious nurse could be seen walking by Ava and Portia with a smirk on her face.

Back with Carly, she got a call from Tony and realized she needed to go be with Josslyn.

Carly worried since she really needed to be at the five families meeting with Jason, but he reassured her and encouraged her to go handle things with Josslyn.
