General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, June 8 Recap – Finn Unlocks Trojan Horse Chase Cure – Ava & Nik Pic Knifed

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 8, reveals that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) unlocked a trojan horse cure thanks to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) while Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) offered Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) a Nantucket getaway – well, sort of!

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) revealed that he knew about Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) getting intimate since he saw them through the window. Michael naturally wanted Jax to keep it quiet for Chase’s sake.

However, Jax suggested this was a good opportunity to revisit the discussion of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being in Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) life.

It dawned on Michael that he was being blackmailed, so he lashed out and wondered if the man who was once his stepfather really wanted to play this card. Jax hoped it wouldn’t come to that and pushed Michael to make the call.

In Nixon Falls, “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina acknowledged that their recent kiss didn’t come out of nowhere.

Sonny cared about Nina as more than a friend, but she insisted they could never be together – that being with her would only mean heartache for everyone.

“Mike” didn’t understand that and felt like not having a past made him feel free. He felt like Nina could have that same sense of freedom and happiness if she pursued this romance with him.

Sonny thought they owed it to themselves to see where this might lead.

Before Sonny and Nina could lean in for another kiss, Nina took a call from Michael. He relented on letting Nina back in Wiley’s life and suggested they could set something up whenever she was ready to come back to Port Charles.

At GH, Elizabeth woke Finn up from Peter August (Wes Ramsey) nightmares. Finn feared he might as well have killed Chase himself by killing Peter, but Liz argued that Peter wasn’t going to give Chase a cure.

Only Finn could give Chase that, so she pushed him to get back to work.

Later, Liz mentioned something about Peter acting like a trojan horse – and that caused a lightbulb moment for Finn. He wrote on the whiteboard frantically and realized he could let the messenger protein do its own thing by introducing a trojan horse into Chase’s system.

Finn was overjoyed since this could be the key to the cure.

Next, Willow was taken aback by Chase’s “getaway” in his hospital room. Chase pointed out that since they never made it to Nantucket like they planned and maybe never would, he wanted to bring Nantucket to Willow.

Nurse Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) had already helped Chase with the romantic setup before Willow arrived.

Chase got Willow to open a nearby box and urged her to put a captain’s hat on. They joked around before Chase nearly kissed Willow, but she pulled away. Willow tried to act like she didn’t want to jeopardize Chase’s health, but he worried there was more to it.

Just before Willow could confess, Finn ran in and excitedly declared that he thought he could cure Chase.

At Pentonville, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) let Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) know that he was no longer in negotiations to privatize the prison, but he felt Alexis would be fine since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was in custody.

Nikolas was hopeful that Cyrus’ people had basically been neutralized.

When Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) appeared, he revealed that he didn’t get parole. That news stunned Alexis, who wondered on what grounds they denied Shawn.

However, Shawn argued that they didn’t need grounds and pointed out he was still deemed a danger to society – though he’d done everything right behind bars.

Nikolas offered sympathy, which irritated Shawn. Alexis encouraged Nikolas to leave and gathered more information from Shawn, who admitted the judge who denied his parole was Judge Carson.

That surprised Alexis since Judge Carson threw the book at Shawn, but only gave Alexis a slap on the wrist.

Afterward, smug Nikolas made a phone call and encouraged the person on the other end to expect a token of appreciation courtesy of Cassadine Industries.

Meanwhile, word spread about Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) waking up. Curtis shared a nice moment with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) – and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) was certainly relieved to see Curtis awake as well.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was thrilled over Curtis pulling through, and Stella Henry (Vernee Henry) warned Curtis not to scare her like that again.

Stella also cornered Portia for a tense, private conversation. She knew Portia was married and didn’t tell Curtis back when they were an item.

Stella dropped a hint about Portia pouncing now that Curtis’ marriage was on the rocks, but Portia was adamant that nothing was going on between them. Stella said she was glad to hear it – for Portia’s sake!

Stella didn’t think Curtis needed a rebound relationship while he was trying to recover from his injuries and the end of his marriage.

Jordan visited Curtis and made a painful admission by his hospital bed. She hated that they couldn’t have found a way to take Cyrus down and stay together. Soon after, Stella found out that Jordan hadn’t signed or filed the divorce papers.

Stella didn’t think there was any hurry and felt like Jordan still had a chance to make things right with Curtis.

As for Portia, she cleared the air with Curtis regarding the kiss and suggested they shouldn’t do anything to risk their friendship. Ava embraced Trina elsewhere in the hospital and made sure she was all right before heading to Wyndemere with Nikolas.

That’s where Nikolas and Ava’s photo was spotted on the wall with a knife through it.
