General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, July 2, teases that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will get the green light to be with “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) while Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) plot is in jeopardy. Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) will also get some sad news, so let’s discuss what’s coming up.
For starters on Friday’s GH episode, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will want Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to be straight with him about their sudden desire to tie the knot.
Michael won’t plan to let this go until he gets the entire story and can make sense of what’s going on.
Michael deserves the truth, so they may want to tell him that it’s either marriage or making Carly disappear! The mob situation has to be handled somehow, so this is the strategy Jason and Carly have chosen.
As Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) continues to fume over Carly and Jason’s decision, he’ll bring Nina in the loop. Once Nina gets past the shock, she may deal with some mixed emotions.
Nina knows none of this would be happening if Sonny were still in the picture – and he could be if Nina came clean.
At the same time, Nina may think it was awfully easy for Carly to replace her husband!
This could make Nina determine that it’s fine for “Mike” to start over with someone new, too – namely Nina. Jax will once again make his move somehow, but he’ll be rejected.
Nina will make it crystal clear that a reunion isn’t in the cards for them and push Jax to accept it.
In the prison visiting area, Brad will be glad to see Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
These old friends will have a lot to catch up on – including Britt’s time on the run from the law and her short-lived romance with Jason.
Britt has also learned some unfortunate health news since the last time she saw Brad. She may confess that testing confirmed she has the genetic marker for Huntington’s disease.
General Hospital spoilers say this visit will serve as a way to lift Britt’s spirits. Brad will give Britt strength with his sense of humor and supportive words, so it’ll be fun to see these two in new scenes together.
Next, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will fill Laura Collins (Genie Francis) in on Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) gallery trap.
They’ll fret over Nikolas potentially handling this on his own and putting himself in danger.
Of course, GH fans know the stalker’s not so scary since it’s a Spencer Cassadine recast. Spencer has been sneaking around the gallery, where he set off Nikolas’ phone alert through the new security measures.
Spencer also managed to freak Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), but he might get spooked and dash off before revealing himself.
Nevertheless, there has to be some dramatic unmasking coming up soon – much like when Nikolas revealed himself to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) after returning from the dead.
Speaking of Ava, she’ll give Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) a push at Trina’s graduation shindig.
Ava may think Jordan’s being too passive when it comes to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and the future she wants. It looks like Ava will suggest that if Jordan wants to reunite, she should make something happen.
However, Curtis seems more interested in Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) despite her efforts to keep him at a distance.
Since Portia is obviously putting walls up, Curtis will gently confront her and try to figure out what caused this change in her behavior.
The answer is Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), so Curtis will be upset with his auntie once he learns what she’s been doing behind his back.
We’ll also see a frustrated Cameron Webber (William Lipton) try to explain things to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Josslyn will misconstrue a situation and rush off, but Cam will follow her and insist on setting the record straight.
Since we know Trina will be upset over the stalker drama, she may not know it was Spencer when she meets back up with Cameron. Trina may be pretty shaken up over what she views as a serious threat.
It’s easy to imagine Josslyn seeing a close moment between Cameron and Trina, which could lead to the assumption that it’s a romantic one.
Nevertheless, it’s Josslyn who Cameron wants – though he’d settle for being true friends again at this point.
Friday’s confusion will force Cameron and Josslyn to really hash things out, so they’ll take some helpful steps forward in their relationship. As other GH info rolls in, we’ll bring you updates.
