General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, May 5 Recap – Carly Destroys Cyrus’ Shipment – Jason Armed Against Intruder

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 5, reveals that Cameron Webber (William Lipton) remained in a panic at the PCPD. Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) removed the handcuffs before Cam was taken back for booking.

Cameron was being charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, but Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) learned it could be upgraded to assault with a deadly weapon depending on security footage.

Afterward on Wednesday’s General Hospital episode, Jordan interviewed Cameron, who admitted he didn’t even remember picking up the weapon since it all happened so fast.

Jordan wondered if it was possible that Cameron blocked out shooting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but Scott shut down the interrogation.

Jordan also asked Elizabeth about that possibility, but Liz got irritated since she was being interrogated now, too. Cameron feared Liz didn’t believe him, but she insisted he’d never shoot Jason – no matter how angry he might’ve been.

After Cameron was taken back for a gun powder residue testing, Jordan checked out the security footage. “Well, I’ll be damned,” Jordan said to herself.

Jordan ultimately revealed that the bullet appeared to have come from behind Cameron, so it looked like he’d be cleared of all charges.

Cameron later overheard Liz talking to Scott about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) being Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) true killer, so he looked stunned.

Meanwhile, “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) served Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) a new cocktail that was his own creation and found out she was looking at apartment rentals in Nixon Falls.

Soon after, Elijah Crowe (Dan White) entered and was pleased to hear Nina intended to stick around. He wanted to take Nina out for a fancy celebratory dinner, but Nina stepped away for a call.

Later, Sonny was agitated over Nina leaving the door open for Elijah to make his move, but Nina argued that she didn’t want to humiliate the guy – especially not in front of “Mike.”

However, Sonny didn’t want to see Nina get hurt and didn’t think Elijah was boyfriend material. Nina insisted nobody said anything about a boyfriend.

After Sonny gushed about Nina’s beauty and other great qualities, he admitted that maybe he was a little jealous. In a moment alone, Nina wondered to herself what she was doing!

Sonny stepped outside and watched Elijah in a confrontation with the robber he bailed out. Elijah didn’t like the shakedown, but he was forced to hand over more cash.

At the safe house on Wednesday’s GH episode, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) scolded Jason for making her help him get dressed when he was bleeding out half an hour ago.

Britt warned that Jason still needed more blood, but he was concerned for Carly and felt she was in over her head.

Britt thought Carly seemed to know what she was doing. Jason conceded that it was probably better if he didn’t attend the meeting since being seen in such bad shape would be viewed as a sign of weakness.

Jason thought it was better to let everyone assume he was a threat and hinted about leverage before stopping himself from spilling anymore.

Britt wondered if this was the part where Jason clammed up and feared he’d said too much. She eventually pointed out that Jason had saved her life, so she’d stay tight-lipped about whatever illegal activities were going on.

Next, Jason heard a noise outside the door and forced Britt to get down on the floor with him as he armed himself. General Hospital spoilers say this intruder will actually deliver a peaceful surprise soon, so keep watching!

At the five families meeting on Wednesday’s General Hospital episode, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was outraged over Carly’s presence. Carly argued that Sonny had kept her in the loop on every aspect of his business, so she intended to take his seat at the table.

Carly’s argument was that things had been going well until Cyrus came along. That’s when they had to deal with explosions and all the other drama that had disrupted their previously harmonious agreement.

Cyrus tried to act like Carly was emotional and irrational, but Carly made it clear that she was calling the shots – and that Cyrus might have a target on his back if he didn’t watch it.

Soon after, Cyrus received news about one of his shipments being destroyed and blew his top.

Cyrus felt it was an act of war, but Carly argued that moving shipment in her territory was a hostile act that required retaliation. Carly made it clear that she could handle things swiftly just as Sonny would’ve done.

Cyrus protested that he was offering a fair piece of the action, but Carly wondered if the other heads of the families could really trust Cyrus to play fair.

In the end, Carly managed to sell that Sonny’s organization was stable and in capable hands. She was given welcoming and congratulatory words by the other heads of the families.

As for Cyrus, he looked furious and announced his plans to find Jason before someone else did.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) found Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Raedmacher), who was worried when he found out Dante was looking for Carly in connection with Jason’s escape case.

Jax had been hoping Carly would break away from that kind of danger and drama, but Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) didn’t care what Jason or her mom had done as long as they were safe.

Back at the warehouse following the five families meeting, Carly looked overwhelmed as she took a minute to collect herself.

Dante eventually showed up based on some updates from an informant. He quizzed Carly about Jason, but she lied that she hadn’t seen him. Dante thought it sounded like Carly knew about the escape earlier, but she played dumb and pointed Dante in the direction of her lawyer.

General Hospital spoilers say Carly will continue to raise the stakes, so stay tuned to see how much trouble she causes. CDL will have other hot General Hospital spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so drop by frequently.
