The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will move forward with her paternity test plans and hope for the best. Steffy wants John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) to be the father of her baby, but will she get her wish?
This seems like the kind of story that’ll either deliver more baby drama now or later. If this baby belongs to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), then things can blow up even further. However, we have to consider how Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s maternity leave might affect the show’s direction.
Will B&B writers make this Liam’s baby and then have Steffy exit the canvas soon after? Wouldn’t Liam want to be involved in Steffy’s appointments as this pregnancy moves along? It just seems kind of weird for Steffy to bolt and leave the father of her child wondering what’s up.
On the other hand, we might have a very different situation if Finn’s revealed as the “baby daddy” now. Tanner Novlan has been working on other TV shows like Roswell, New Mexico, as well as a new pilot called Puckheads.
Since Novlan seems to find other projects to keep him busy, we might see Finn find out the baby is his and leave with Steffy for a while.
It’d be easy to send Steffy and Finn off canvas together to reconnect – like on an extended babymoon as they fix their relationship and prepare for their bundle of joy. Finn might take a lengthy break from the hospital to focus on his family, which is obviously his new priority.
It would still present the possibility for paternity test tampering to be exposed down the road. That brings us back to the whole “more baby drama later” idea. We know this storyline’s set to last through most of 2021, which makes sense considering it’s a baby story and it’ll take some time for Steffy to have this child.
Until then, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Liam will have plenty of drama going on with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) as she grows closer to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Liam can worry about his destroyed marriage and the chance that Thomas will steal Hope’s heart.
Once Steffy’s back in the picture – and perhaps back from some time away with Finn by her side – then paternity switch chaos might explode to continue the story. It’s an option to mull over since Wood will have to take time off and Novlan’s had other projects going on lately.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say a “Sinn” babymoon would probably please fans of this couple – at least until Wood’s maternity leave is over. It’d be nice to think of Steffy and Finn strengthening their bond, even if we don’t get to see it!
