The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 14, reveals that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) wound up all alone after making a painful Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) sacrifice. Meanwhile, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) cried since she felt Eric Forrester (John McCook) was the only man for her.
At the Forrester mansion on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Quinn and Carter kept trying to wrap their heads around Eric offering them this night together.
Quinn was so sorry for the awkward position Carter was in, but they agreed Eric seemed to be coming from a good place rather than testing their loyalty.
Still, Quinn wondered how Eric could possibly think this was the solution. Carter agreed that even with Eric’s blessing, it didn’t feel right.
Quinn noted that it was a sweet and selfless gesture on one level, but it was wrong on every other level.
Carter confirmed they couldn’t do it, but he admitted it was killing him since he missed every inch of Quinn and thought about her all the time.
After Quinn clasped Carter’s hand and confessed to missing him as well, they reiterated that they couldn’t do this. Carter and Quinn gushed over each other briefly before Carter told her goodnight and left.
In the bedroom, Eric looked glum as he gazed at the bed. He eventually took a call from Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Donna since they were concerned about Eric being stuck in a cold dysfunctional marriage.
Brooke suggested they were reminiscing about Eric and mentioned that none of them were fans of his wife. Eric sarcastically replied that he didn’t realize that, but Brooke fished to find out why he took Quinn back after her betrayal.
Eric wasn’t keen on talking about that, but Donna pointed out that any woman would be thanking her lucky stars to be with him. Donna, Katie and Brooke agreed about only wanting Eric’s happiness.
Brooke just wasn’t sure Quinn could give Eric that and warned that they didn’t want him stuck in an unaffectionate loveless marriage.
Eric assured them that wouldn’t be the case and disconnected abruptly. Brooke hoped it was all right to call as they all mulled over Eric sounding down and considered whether he was alone or not.
When talk turned to Donna’s single status, she felt like Eric Forrester was the only man for her. Donna cried over Eric being the true love of her life.
As for Eric, he got in bed and looked sad in the dark by himself. While Carter had some powerful flashbacks of Quinn back at his loft, Quinn joined Eric in their own bedroom. She hinted about processing what happened tonight as well as what didn’t happen.
Eric reiterated that he couldn’t give Quinn the passion she needed, but she suggested she had everything she needed right there.
Quinn let Eric know he was more than enough for her before giving him a quick peck and turning over in bed – clearly still deep in thought over everything that had transpired.
