The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 24, reveal that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) continued their talk in the Forrester CEO office.
Steffy said that she wished she could snap her fingers so that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novan) was the father of her baby, but Hope said that they couldn’t go back.
Steffy noted that all they could do was move forward, and that she regretted hurting Hope and Finn. Hope said that this was a lot to process for her and for Finn, and Steffy said that Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) needed to fight and stay together.
Steffy asked Hope not to resent the new baby, and Hope said that she never could, but that she was questioning everything and didn’t know if she and Liam could get through this.
Over at Spencer Publications, Finn continued fussing at Liam. Liam said that he understood that Finn was there marking his territory, and Finn said that wasn’t what this was.
Finn said that he was trying to move past what had happened, and that Liam needed to respect boundaries. Finn ranted about how Liam couldn’t help but to put himself in the middle of Steffy and Hope.
Liam fired back that there was nothing Finn could say to him that he hasn’t been saying to himself, and Finn said that if Liam truly felt regret, then he’d stop hurting Hope and Steffy. Liam said that Finn was new to the scene, and Finn said that maybe it would take a new person to get through to Liam.
Finally, Liam told Finn that he really wanted them to get along, and that he was truly sorry for what he had done. “I did you wrong – I did us all wrong, and all I can do is be better,” Liam said. Finn noted that he’d never be able to look at the new baby and not think that he or she wasn’t his.
In the Forrester Creations backstage area, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) reeled as he reminisced about what Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) had said about the paternity test results. “Vinny couldn’t have meant…” Thomas said to himself. “Could Vinny have…? What did you do, Vinny?”
Just then, Hope came along and asked what was going on with Vinny and what Thomas thought that Vinny did. Thomas covered, saying that it was nothing, and that sometimes Vinny doesn’t think before he acts.
I’ll get to the bottom of it,” Thomas said. Liam walked up, just as Thomas was asking Hope how she was doing. Liam said that hope didn’t have to hide her feelings from him, and Hope indicated that she wasn’t.
Thomas wanted to leave to give Hope and Liam a chance to talk, but Hope said that Thomas didn’t need to go anywhere. Thomas rambled a little bit and noted that one test had changed so many lives.
Back in the Forrester Creations CEO office, Finn returned to find Steffy alone and working. Steffy indicated that her talk with Hope was a bit strained, and she said that she wished there was more that she could do.
Steffy noted that she felt shame, and Finn urged her not to be stressed over this but to go on.
Steffy and Finn talked about how they wished the baby was theirs, and Finn said that he had grown to love the baby already. Finn promised that he’d love the baby without resentment, and that if anyone was to blame it was Liam. “We were robbed – this should be our child,” Finn said.
In the design office, Vinny arrived to see Thomas, who had been trying to call him repeatedly. Thomas said that he was trying to make sense of some of the things Vinny had said earlier.
Vinny said that he was just trying to keep Thomas’ spirits up, and Thomas noted that Vinny worked at the lab.
“What is it you think I did?” Vinny asked. “Did you do anything to mess with Steffy’s paternity test?” Thomas demanded. “Did you change the results to make it look like it’s Liam’s baby?”
