The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will crash Angelina Marchetti’s LA meeting with Eric Forrester (John McCook) on August 3. In another fun crossover moment with The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric will be back to confirm what Phyllis already suspects.
Phyllis trusts her instincts when it comes to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) – and those instincts are telling her the former Forrester Creations employee had a hand in pushing Summer Newman (Hunter King) out of town.
When Phyllis finds out Angelina has a meeting scheduled with Eric, she’ll hop on a flight and hope to connect some dots.
Y&R spoilers say Phyllis will meet Angelina, who’ll have a glowing review of Summer’s work so far in Milan.
Angelina will likely thank Eric for recommending Summer, so that should lead to questions about why Eric was so involved in Summer’s new job offer.
Eric will confess he put in a good word for Summer at Sally’s request, so Phyllis will know Sally was a huge reason why her daughter left Genoa City.
It’ll click a crucial puzzle piece in place for Phyllis, who’ll inform Eric that Sally manipulated him for selfish gain.
Phyllis will assure Eric that Sally had no interest in doing Summer any legitimate favors. This was all about clearing the path to the top at JCV and getting rid of Sally’s biggest rival.
Eric may admit Sally revealed that she could benefit, but Sally also sold this as an effort to do something genuinely nice.
To be fair, it was Summer’s dream job – even if she didn’t go looking for it! Sally’s motives weren’t pure, but it wasn’t an entirely bad situation for Summer.
Nevertheless, Phyllis will seethe and know Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) must’ve pressured Summer into taking the job Sally arranged.
We’ll see Phyllis snap a photo with Angelina and Eric before sending it to Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) – and an explanation of Sally’s conniving behavior could follow.
Lauren needs employees she can trust, but Sally’s deception and devious behavior make it so she can’t be trusted at all. Phyllis will no doubt make sure Lauren understands that soon enough! As other Y&R news rolls in, we’ll keep bringing you updates.
