The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will hit the roof after Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) divulges a massive secret he’s been keeping.
At some point during Kyle’s relationship with Summer, you’d think he would mention that he had fathered a child with a married woman!
That’s exactly what Kyle did back in New York when he slept with the wife of a major mogul named Ashland Locke. Regardless of whether Kyle ever becomes a part of this kid’s life or not, he hasn’t shared this giant piece of his past with Summer. She thought she knew Kyle completely – better than anyone else ever has.
Once Summer finds out that’s not true due to this secret child, it’ll pull the rug out from under her. If Summer would bail on her elopement to Kyle over some fairly innocent texts to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), it’s tough to imagine her moving past this kid drama like it’s no problem.
It’s going to be a huge deal for Summer since the trust between “Skyle” will take a serious hit.
Will Summer dump Kyle over this? That’s tough to say. Y&R fans will see Kyle confess and frantically try to explain in the week ahead.
From there, The Young and the Restless Kyle will do his best to control the damage. He’ll want to keep his life from blowing up, but that may be pretty difficult under the circumstances.
Summer might break up with Kyle for withholding something so important from her. She might argue that she would’ve told Kyle the truth if she’d had some secret child or another shocking secret like this.
Summer’s not going to feel like it’s a level playing field anymore in terms of the honesty between them.
In recent months Summer has found reasons to run away from Kyle and avoid getting her heart broken. In this case, Summer won’t even have to look for trouble. It’ll land right in her lap and leave her uncertain what the future holds.
Even if Summer doesn’t dump Kyle over this, there’s bound to be some sort of split. Even if it’s just a separation, Summer’s bound to need some space to process what she’s learned.
This is a game-changer that’ll affect Kyle and Summer’s future like never before, so Summer will have a lot to mull over.
Since Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will launch this scandal through information she receives from Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), she should be pleased once “Skyle” implodes.
Sally may hope she can use Summer’s personal drama to swoop in and steal her spot running JCV!
