The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, June 29, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will make a dangerous new deal while sick Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) reputation takes a hit. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will also warn Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to in Tuesday’s episode.
First, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have a proposal for Adam to mull over. Things haven’t quite been smooth sailing at Newman Media since Adam took over – and that’s because hovering Victor is always going to think his way works best.
However, Adam genuinely wants to keep the peace with Victor and will be open to listening to what he has to say. Victor wants to strike back at ChancComm, but Adam would prefer to take the high road and crush the competition legitimately.
Could Victor propose some sort of compromise – like a way to defeat ChancComm fast, fair and square? Victor’s main thing seems to be working quickly, so he’ll hope to get Adam on board with whatever his plan is ASAP.
It turns out the offer Victor makes will be too tempting to turn down, so Adam will reach an agreement with his father. Of course, it’s always risky to make deals with the great Victor Newman.
Victor may not stick to the terms if he gets caught up in revenge mode, so we’ll see how this accepted proposal works out for Adam.
We should also consider the possibility that Victor’s deal will involve Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) or even Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but the point is the trust between Adam and Victor is still fragile.
Adam should certainly proceed with caution – and Victor should do the same to be honest!
In the meantime, Ashland will get some grim updates on his phone and pass them along to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). It’ll explode in the news that Ashland is sick – though details may be scarce since it’ll be based on unconfirmed leaks and gossip.
Even so, it’ll be enough for everyone to start speculating on the severity of Ashland’s condition and doubting that he can be the “Locke-ness Monster” he once was.
Victoria will be there for Ashland as they resolve to focus on their merger plans and ignore the naysayers.
As for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’ll put Victoria through a grilling session – presumably about the merger and Ashland’s illness. Billy will also hope to find out more information, so he’ll ask if he can interview Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).
Jack will warn Billy to get lost, but Tara will allow a few questions. She just won’t answer them honestly and will keep up all the typical phony charm.
Billy won’t get any real confirmation from Tara, but he’ll definitely get the feeling Ashland is quite ill and that Tara knows far more than she’s admitting.
