The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, June 8, tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will get a calendar clue about her father while Summer Newman (Hunter King) has a rocky first meeting with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).
First, Amanda will have another meeting with Denise Tolliver (Telma Hopkins), the private investigator who worked with Richard Nealon all those years ago.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will also be present as Denise brings over some old boxes belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, the first foster couple who took in Richard’s baby girl.
Denise will just wish she could find Richard’s adult daughter now and let her know how much her dad wanted her. Amanda will obviously get emotional over the connection she’s hiding, but she’ll try to keep it all bottled inside – at least until Denise leaves.
Once Devon and Amanda have a chance to look through the boxes, Amanda will get choked up over her first foster family. The Lewises were good people who cared for Amanda, even if it was just for the early years of her life.
Amanda will eventually find some calendars – including one that has an appointment with Richard listed on it.
Devon will wonder if maybe Richard was able to meet with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis after all, but the date will prove otherwise. The appointment was scheduled for soon after Richard died. Amanda will guess that the Lewises probably never figured out why Richard was a no-show.
It’ll be hard for Amanda to see just how close Richard came to meeting his child.
Speaking of meeting children, it’ll be time for Summer and Harrison to exchange introductions on Tuesday’s episode. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will happily offer a kid-friendly explanation for who Summer is and hope Harrison likes her.
Unfortunately, it looks like Summer will struggle to form a real connection with the boy. Harrison might be shy, cranky or just confused about yet another person entering his life.
Then again, maybe Summer will be the awkward one. The point is Harrison and Summer won’t get off to the greatest start, but Kyle will no doubt offer a pep talk and suggest things will get better in time.
As for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), they’ll once again spar over Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Victor will be tired of waiting and will want to make a bold statement by fighting back. Adam will still think it’s too soon and will want to handle more pressing matters anyway.
Of course, Victor may do what he wants anyway and leave Adam upset over his father taking over. Newman Media was supposed to be a path forward for Adam, but he may start to wonder if it was just a way to control him.
Victor loves his children, but he expects them to get in line like good little Newman soldiers! If Adam continues to push back, there are going to be more issues to tackle. We’ll bring you updates as other Y&R news becomes available.
